Personally, the fact that regular blanks can be used mid-dodgeroll (such as when you KNOW you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up) whereas the Elder Blank cannot be is pretty killer for its usability. The star, on the other hand, has a few neat synergies I've heard of and allows for a breather in an intense fight, to say nothing of the potential health saved.
I'd side with the star.
Wait, seriously? Does that prevent the inevitable doom of when the Wall reaches the bottom of the room or just provides a safe spot to attack it from?
Elder blank, as one of the fastest charging sub items in the game, and a useful screen clear, is just a murder factory once you get items that sync with it. Ring of triggers + disintegerator + elder blank is literal invincibility and infinite boss clear without actually using ammo.
Last time it should up for me, I was the Pilot and already had potion of lead skin.
I won the run pretty easily after getting both. :P
lol. you really dont kill him before you reach the bottom?
It's not about whether you can kill him before it reaches the bottom, just curious if you could potentially sit there, behind him, and let him go to the bottom without consequences. It'd be funny to just watch the Wall stuck there, unable to do anything anymore.
