Alt+Enter now switches between windowed mode and fullscreen mode.
Alt+F4 now closes the game.
Trees in Dark Forest now sometimes drop Grass.
Trees in Dark Forest now sometimes drop... Food, sort of!
Dark Forest now sometimes spawn white mushrooms.
Animals now spawn in Dark Forest biome.
(FIX) Broken save files should be skipped now from loading instead of crashing the game.
(FIX) Remove assertion message box that allowed to continue executing the game. Which could've caused a lot of bad things!
(FIX) Made hoes flavor text more useful.
(FIX) Slingshot mechanics converted to bow mechanics for now.
(FIX) Bow mechanics now require you to charge the shot.
(FIX) Spear mechanics now require you to charge the attack. Still no good animation tho!
(FIX) Attacking with a spear now locks your movement.
(FIX) Save files now show their version if they are outdated. Auto-conversion will occur on loading, so everything should be fine.
(FIX) Fix playtime calculation for save files. Which reset playtimes on all the save files, o7
(FIX) Cartography technologies now have small descriptions.
(FIX) You can now cook Raw Chicken in the Furnace.
(FIX) You can't build on top of the player anymore. Hopefully.
(FIX) Fixed icon size for belts.
(FIX) Player now starves until reaching 1hp, no more exploding at 0 hp when trying to mine some material. Which was fun!

made a hoe... unable to plow anything with rmb as i'm guessing all the ground is icy? well, not ice, but in an icy biome. can't tell what the terrain is as there's no description.. controller support? would suggest you add hotkey label to the inventory/blah icons. the hotkeys are shown right at the beginning.. but if you think anyone is going to remember that, especially if they haven't touched it for a while... not sure why mouseover descriptions aren't shown for items on the hotbar. they are shown if ...

Demo is Out!

This is mainly a stability test to find bugs, test out early game progression, core gameplay mechanics, etc.

There are 1-2 hours of chill gameplay currently, so it will give you a general vibe of the game.

We plan to update the demo for quite a bit of time, so a lot more content and features "Coming Soon (tm)".

But we need to focus on polish and stability first, even though I really want to start working on fishing, settlements and dungeons already.

Causing PC to Crash on Exit

Launched the game and liked the look of it, thought I would save it for a longer try tomorrow and tried to exit BSOD and full PC reboot. Tried again for good measure, crashes PC every time

Building walls etc.

A grindstone does not make planks. Just saying. It took me forever to figure out what I was supposed to do there or where to build planks. The "game" is cute but for people like myself with arthritis, not fun. There is no way to turn anything. You can't build a house because you can't move the walls. All you can do is put a straight line of wall. I wanted to move my cooking pot, broke it down and the game crashed....

Excellent foundation, but there's a lot needed during early access. When you pick up something, it should check to see if you have that item in your backpack and if so, combine it there. Stack sizes are FAR too small. Figuring out which workstation does what borders on the infuriating (what does a grindstone do? How do you use the furnace? Etc). Day is far too short. Your tutorial steps need to walk people through the grindstone, furnace, how to make charcoal, etc. The basics. Excellent buil...
