What happens to DLCs after the wipe?

Is there any news on what will happen to currently owned DLCs after the wipe?
In particular, will they be transferred across or not?
And if they are transferred across are there plans for them to be modified in any way?

i just switched from war server to caribian server ... my redeemable ships and other downloadcontent like admirals connection ..work on both servers....
i assume that it will be the same after whipe ....u keep all dlc ..anything else would be fraud...

They have to carry them over, people have paid good money for DLC's.

I wish the things we carry with us - the money chest, Reals, medals, etc. - would all carry over after the wipe. I'm sad that I have a 35-ship fleet that I will lose, except for the three DLCs I own.

I agree. But it just seems odd that the devs have been in the past very specific about what resources etc. the higher xp players can carry with them across the wipe, but said nothing at all (as far as I know) about DLC carryover.

I will be watching closely. *ALL* of my play has been on the War Server, so I'm hoping that I will land in the new server with my three DLCs, at least. But my 10 outposts, 32 other ships, chest and warehouses full of upgrades, etc. - all gone? That sucks. If rank does indeed transfer, at least I'll be able to sail my Victory, Redoubtable and Rotterdam - once I grind enough Reals out to outfit them if I start out at zero :/. Currently I'm a Commodore, slightly more than halfway to Rear Admiral. If I lose my XP but keep my rank, I will have to re-accomplish 4000 XP to get back to where I currently am. I know it's like complaining about the weather, because it's beyond my control...but at least I can vent about it! LOL. All we can do, lacking specifics, is wait and see...and hope for the best...

Another question: Currently there is no USA in the Caribbean Server. In fact, if memory serves, there are only about five or six nations? (I have never done more than create a character over there. Yes my DLCs are there, but I'm as zero as zero can be.) As a USA player on the War Server, will I have a country in the post-wipe server, or will I need to pick one of the existing choices? A lot of uncertainty.

Spain, United Kingdom, France and Pirates. I think I read in the past about implementing the Dutchs but not sure about that. But seems like you will have to pick some of these four yes. In this wipe, Spain dominated, pirates pretty similar tho.

Yup, it is a paid product.. so DLC's are here to say unless they bankrupt and shutdown completely.

They will carry over, i have played this game since there were only two main servers and it was 35 quid for the game itself. The first ever carribian wipe has not taken my dlc's away. neither will this one. hope this helps

I got news for you all. I've been here since the alpha, and this isnt the first wipe were we have lost everything except the dlc's. They've been stupidly doing wipes for literally years and wonder where the player base has went.

Maybe it depends on the sale agreement, lock-stock-and-barrel then yeah they probably could carry over anything they want, however, just the rights then probably not alot new Devs can do.

I haven´t played on the carribian, but doesen´t that get wiped 3 or 4 times a year. so you only get to keep your ships and stuff for 3 months or so.

No idea what an F2P server is...and the war server hasn't had wipes as far as I know (although I've only been actively playing since last September), but the impetus for this conversation is that the war server is rumored to be going away, forcing players onto the Caribbean server.
