Thats good ! Lets see how many players will come ! Would be hard for new ones without mechanism to farm reals !

IF only devs would listen... Well in the end player numbers reflect status of the game

ah so there it is, the much-trumpeted F2P model.. Kinda funny to see how the announcement came out of the blue without any fancy touches and contains only vague and general indications, LOL

Tell me Irakli, this whole F2P thing, it's supposed to be what exactly? Some kind of path to salvation?? I mean, it sure does come across as something of an unavoidable fate.. or are you guys just under some intense time pressure? Either way, your massive screw up of the game this summer in fact proved to be a real blessing as it made it so much easier to leave your three-ring circus and return to my other and far better games.

Naval Action has long passed its expiry date, and you alongside it. F2P will be a total failure and then you will realize what a community you poured down the drain. Have fun restoring your shattered image.

So the game's going Free To Play?
So what is going to happen to all of those people who forked out their hard earned cash to PAY TO PLAY this game?
You know, the people who have actually supported this game financially over the past 6 years or whatever, right back to when it was still in Early Access?
Without us, you wouldn't even have a game right now!

So, I'm hoping we get some kind of thanks and recognition for our support over the years? That's a proper slap in the face if not.
How about all of the DLC for free for those who have supported the game since the Early Access days, and actually PAID for it?
Hell, I can dream, I guess.
But, yeah. You get the idea.

Don't leave us out in the dry.
After all, we paid for the game.
We actually paid to play it, which I doubt the majority of players will do in way, shape, or form when it goes F2P.
They'll just take whatever they can get for free. I doubt you'll see a penny in return from any of them.

So, yeah. We deserve some kind of thanks for keeping the game alive for this long, and for actually PAYING FOR IT.

I'm sure this will all fall on deaf ears, but one can hope.

F2P usually means free to play at lowest tier and then money to buy DLC so as not to grind so much, I guess they hoping that F2P will draw in more players who will then buy more DLC, well that,s the business model anyway, but doubt that will help now, time will tell i guess?

At last.... pretty low key low information announcement. Lets see how many dlc packages for essential goods and in game coin they can pack in on day one.
Staunberg Oct 14, 2022 @ 10:37pm
I really think there will be a doubloon dlc. a Lifetime for lets say 50 $ and then micro tannsaction. When enough have bought the lifetime, GL will ofc change the currency in game. A well established pattern by GL to make there new dlc good, just to change the game afterwards.

Still like how they changed weight after the Ballon dlc was sold. ore the value of the redoubtable and Santa Ana, after the change in speed. Before they where main ships for OW PvP, after the speed change, no value at all.(I must admint I wasen't to upset by it, because I liked to sail Endymion).

final nail in the coffin?

I bought the game as a gift for a friend, since the removal of reals neither of us have played as the game becomes very stale on how to progress for a unestablished player, now its going F2P,,,,, where do those who have recently bought the game stand?

are refunds going to be offered for recent purchases of the game even if the 2 week ownership or playtime has been exeeded?

Obviously not, but asking for a refund after over two weeks of ownership is a little ridiculous.

Stillfront controls the microtransactions in game, dlc buys etc.. it is the whole model of all the free game in the stillfront portfolio.

The deadline must be fast approaching to deliver on the ftp launch before the devs lose a huge performance bonus.

As allways my dear friend are you wrong. Devs are the wisest of wise. F2P will bringe 100 servers alive with 2500 players.

Devs have nerver failed there community.
