thats what i mean ... did you actually read the post ? ....
op is arguing like the market would have unlimited supply and everyone can just buy from there instead of building a plantation
That's not actually what I am arguing. I don't know where you're getting that from. The point, which I thought was rather obvious, is that it doesn't make sense that it supposedly costs 3500 reals to "produce" tobacco, but the port would be willing to sell tobacco for the same price it costs to produce. The virtual traders in port would also want to make a profit, so to speak. This kind of stuff just damages immersion, because it's unrealistic.
you literally asked why you should buy a plantation ...
and this destroyes your imersion cause of not realistic ? not the npc ships who are just faster, have more hp and do more dmg ? and save zones ? or the fact that you suddenly lose everything you own in the game and barly remember your rank ?
your kinda funny :)
I said "damages" immersion, not destroy. And you intentionally misquoted. People only misquote when they know they are wrong. Otherwise they wouldn't feel the need to do it.
It's just one more thing that's a bit annoying, because it doesn't really makes sense, that's all. I don't know why you are getting so defensive about it. It's very objectively something that doesn't make sense and in this case, unlike in many other cases where games have to be unrealistic in some way in order to work properly, it is very easily solvable.
(also it's "you're")
so you are really just arguing about the price ?
could be the locals have a "natural" spot they harvest the tobacco from
or they dont have an european plantation owner who demands more wage
or they are just better and more motivated at the job cause they arent enslaved ...
doesnt matter... this game has way more and bigger problems than some nitpicking about tobacco pricing
