Trader Tool "buy price" is needed back
The trader tool in its current state is better off being removed like it was never there in the first place.

The Buy Price column is needed for anyone wanting to trade efficiently.

Right now the time spent for a few trades is enormous, you spend half your time searching for items to sell but have no idea where to buy them, neither can you estimate if a trip is worth making or not.

With prices and availability being different every day, this needs to be addressed in some way.

It's a recent change that needs changing back. Bring back the trading economy Devs.

I dont think it can now as trade goods are got from looting merchants rather than dropping in ports, although tools and rare woods still drop.

Try the naval action map you can search for goods and see the prices.

you can't, thats the thing, since the buy price is gone, the tools don't have access to it either. Only the sell price. So you can't setup you trade route in advance, you need to take the time in each ports to calculate where to sell the next goods. losing precious time.

sim of the 16th centry, no computers, news took month o arrive if there was a ship coming that way... that's how the dev approached it at release, now we can at least se where to sell it.
Also if you look on the pricing if they only will pay crap for a product it's likeley they produce it locally
