Victory 1765 (i) Leak Issue!

No way on this Gods green earth should I have sunk!

I came up against a Rotterdam Enemy Player (EP), I gave a Broadside which did good work, but when they returned their broadside, suddenly I see the water line indicator in the wind compass start rapidly filling up, I tried to stop the ship and fix the leaks but it was over in about 15 seconds, I looked to see if he had got me below the water line, but on quick inspection he hadn't. My ship health was about roughly 92%.

Feeling humbled I was returned to port whilst they probably went to have a laugh with their clan mates. Why is this happening? It must be a bug surely, when fighting NPC's I've taken worse damage than that and had no issue.

Use Battles sails. Then your ship won,t hang to much over to one side and exposing your ships lower section.
Depower sail will also help.
Just make sure you don,t expose your belows to the enemy ship.
