Yeah. Nasty.
i assume you mean with carronades?
And in an instant, I just couldn't take you serious any longer.
Are you nuts?!? You NEED full broadsides to destroy opposing ships hull and giving the crew reload shock.
Was it "pilot" or "using single shots" that ruined his credibility for you?
you cannot bail fast enough not to sink if you lose 100% of any one side armor.
Enjoy being better at the game :) yw.
I think they were foaming at the mouth over your "naw man"s and calling yourself a pilot. And "holla", too. "Cappin'"? Capping what?
Basically they're laughing at your Americanisms and slang.
i can't be half serious in a steam post? good to know forum nazi lol.
thanks for setting me straight on that sir , your input is invaluable to me.
She's designed to be fast to chase down smaller vessels, or to grab hold of larger vessels so her larger, heavier friends can come beat on them.
She's also not too shabby for solo raiding in hostile waters. It's nice being able to run like hell as well as being able to catch stuff.
yeah ai've been experimenting with it , just figured this out , thanks for the reply tripty.
i was just using the ship for a purpose it wasnt designed for.
Yes, indeed!
This game is not about getting the best ship. Its about getting the ship fitting your purpose the best. The basic cutter might sound useless, but I find it extremely useful for sailing against the wind, thanks to the side sails (know my native language, but doesn't know the english version of these sails). I prefer the cutter above the privateer, despite the privateer having a bigger crew and stronger hull.
wait if it's an interceptor , why doesnt it have fore cannons?
kind of confused about that.
The word you are looking for is "jib" for the forward two sails forward of the mast, and "staysail" for the third of those forward sails. :)
She apparently didn't ship them in real life. While she plays the role of a fast interceptor - mainly due to her speed (Trincomalee often plays this role as well), the Developers will generally not add cannon where no cannon were to be found. In some cases, a cannon from the broadside could be shifted to act as a chaser, maybe we'll see that ability at a later phase of the game.
