Naval Action

Naval Action

Any PotBS players here that can compare this to it?
I LOVED Pirates of the Burning Sea when it was released. Port Battles there was amongst the most fun I've had in a MMO. This looks to be like a upgraded version of it. Is there any1 out there that has played both and can tell me the similarties and differences between the two games. Will I enjoy this as a old PotBS-player?

Here you wont find walking on the land, but you find realistic naval combat and its affairs.

im a potbs player and im bored of this game actually ,because only the ship combat works fine ,this game have only 1 quest ,kill1 ship or 2 ships,no avatar fights, you can be a trader if you want, you can pvp all time, the world is huge ,same map but a lot more towns then potbs, graphic is amazing ,devs are hard-working,dailys updates, servermaintence, lot of polls about new ships
and other stuff added,i like this game atm ,it can only be bether in the future

edit : this game have no classes ,skills ,you can join a guild, the community is awesome friendly,

well its kind of like a hardcore POTBS but without the crappy tacked on ground combat :)

This is real ship simulation combat... POTBS was more of a joke when it came to naval combat.. but graphics inside cities looked nice; that was a bout it... and don't forget Naval action map is at least 200x bigger :)

Well PotBS had the whole thing with wind calcualtion etc. And even if the boarding mecanic with swordfighting was bad, it was fun to have since it was a crucial part of the naval battles back then. One can only hope they will implement it here. Is there some kind of Port battles here, where a nation can take over a port? If so, how is it done? In PotBS you had a chance to be there and defend it and it had those evil night flips etc when you couldn't be there and defend it if you had a RL etc.

We already have boarding in game.. its basic but they will develop it further but dont expect 3d avatar fighting.

How is it done now then Caldrin?

Thx. Another question. I got the game. And wanna pick a server now. I see that there is 2 PVP EU servers. One and Mirror. Is it only population that differs between the two, and which one should I pick if I want ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of action? I guess ONE with more pop?
mikzephyr998 Feb 14, 2016 @ 2:13am
the EU1 PVP server, the mirror was introduced to deal with overpopulation and therefore is quieter, your xp carries between both as does crafting xp but cash, ships etc don't

POTBS was better in the beginning. What it is today is an abomination. I tried to get into Naval Action but wasn't very exciting for me. Loved the original POTBS before it became carebear.

I enjoyed PoTBS in its heyday. the game is extremely similar, i am almost positive the devs played it too because of all the economic similarities. ship combat here is incredible and much more simulation, no "classes" or "sklls" besides a few officer perks. the map is way bigger than potbs, which isnt a good thing, because the price and time it takes to makes ships is easier than potbs, but the distances and labor hours really kill the pop because it takes a million years to do anything including simple missions.

this game does not give you a cool parrot for purchasing before release :(

I enjoyed PotBS for awile and then it got boring. For fun I purchased the fastest ship and then made PvP runs to see if anyone could catch me...no one ever did!
