True agree.. makes trading look pitiful..
would be nice to see 50% reduction on mission gold.. but keep the xp

yeah i was surprised to see that in the patch.. i mean it was pretty easy to make lots of gold from running missions and stuff.. but now its crazy.. kind of messing up the econamy.

i can focus more on sailing and fighting, and less on grinding. making the econ too stiff makes the game too much work, not enough naval action. anything that reduces the amount of grind and increases the chances for me to do what I want, the better.

actually i quit this game because it was hard for me to grind money

yeah I have to agree, grind is usually the main reason games lose players in the long run, this was a smart move by them, this way everyone gets to play the way they want to, just because some people have the time and patience to grind in games doesnt mean everyone does. (I prefer having fun for a couple of hours than having more playtime and not enjoying it, mainly because I dont have that much time to play normally)

personally I love the game, it's the age of sail game I've always wanted but if it was too grindy I just wouldnt be able to enjoy myself with it, because I dont always have time to put in more than 3 hours a day into a game and if it was too grindy I'd be in the starter ship forever.

please try to understand that you may not see the point but it means the world to people like me.

Well I went from making 3k a mission to like 13k. I will say this, early on after I upgraded my ship I would often break even after repairs, so there wasn't much progress. I had to cap traders along the way to keep going. Once I started getting better at aiming and maneuvering I was doing okay with gold. I still capped traders occasionally to help finances. I have only had time to do a couple missions since the patch but I can imagine if you can make 9-10k per mission it might seem a bit op.

Are prices in the economy bad? Yes
Is it a solution to greatly increase income to solve it? No

It's called inflation and if this is the economical knowledge of any of the crew at Game-Labs they can already start implementing 100 000 000 000 zimbabwean dollar bank notes because that is where you end up with such a terrible solution.

It's perfect. Thank you Devs :)

The old way was tedious at best. Discouraging at middle. Not worth the effort at worse.
Now we can actualy enjoy the game. Rather then run the endless grind.

I like it so much now, that I bought another copy as a gift, so a friend could join me.

Mission rewards seem spot on, to me. But, I wouldn't mind them doing something different with the Battle rewards.

Mission: "X" amount of gold and xp..fine (Plus believable, because it comes from officals)
Battle: Usually a lot more gold than the mission gave, plus xp again? Fine....lol
(And, unbelievable, since it comes from majik Posiden giving it to you...)

I would suggest that the player would have to sail around, after or during the battle, and collect debris for that extra gold from battle. Getting "majik" gold from Posiden himself, seems....off...

It's insanely easy to make gold now. Without more gold sinks it will need to be turned down before inflation ruins the ingame economy.

Consider it takes 20-25 missions for a 1.LT to get enough gold to buy a Niagara as being sold in port Royal, that's aproximately 7 hours worth of battles as far as i can tell, and that's not counting all the time spend traveling between things which is the most boring aspect of the game, and also time spend in port repairing and refitting.

Spending plus 10 hours to get a reasonably good second lowest tier ship is certainly not too fast, and if that is too fast you have way to much spare time good sir.

No such thing.. you make more.. stuff costs more.. it balances

almost make 20 k as 1st lt a mission now gives around 14k and the gold from sinking the ships was also increased those give me between 5-6k and also seems they give more upgrades.... made 45k that way a few times per mission last night....

I can now buy full repair kits and use them as if it's nothing.... so no need to gop back to port inbetween missions now....

50% less would have been better it feels to easy now

just flooding the game with money is no solution and i hope they fix it with a gold/res/ship wipe in the future
