shallow water ports

I think shallow water should have NO EFFECT on shallow draft ships at all,,,anywhere.
(Being able to run for shallow water areas should be one of the important options available to small ships.)

Shallow water ports should ONLY be accessable to Deep Draft ships by paying a PILOT to take your ship into the port.

Another option for deep draft ships would be to only allow them to enter at DEAD SLOW speed and between channel markers or bouys.

Trying to enter a Shallow water port with a Deep Draft ship by any other means would result in your ship being "stuck" until the tide changed. (one or two "game hours" later}

Suggest you stay out of shallow water ports with deep draft ships until a solutions has been devised and implemented. Other wise, take your chances on getting "Stuck".

Well if its shallow then its shallow and ships with deeper drout should go in at there perriel.

But Its agood thing in the game to give a smaller draft ship to find shelter, but maybe not from cannon fire unless they are out of sight.
