Need help with entering battles

So my friends and I can't join a battle together like we have to go to the "join nation x" circles, is there a way to start a battle with everyone instead of having one lead ship and everyone follows later?

Could you please provide details, on what server do you play, what kind of battles you try you enter (e.g. missions, or battles in a patrol zone)

PVE server, when attacking AI ships in the open ocean sometimes we can go into the battle as a group but other times only one person gets into the battle at first and everyone else has to sail to the join circle, and then it takes forever to sail into the battle

You have to be in a BG that' mean 6 person in the "BattleGroup" so you can all enter as the same time.

no your all wrong if you take a kill mission or a group kill mission ( limit of 3 players ) you can join as a group. If you are combating in open world and hunting it is the lead ship who initiates the combat the enters first all other must enter via the combat circle. so position position when entering make sure your facing the swords and have a weather sailing factor And a Battle group is two people / not 6 As to Patrol zone I founds its where your at. TBH it would be nice if all players in a battle group entered battle at their relevant position on the open world and the two circle came after the battle was initiated for players out of battle group.

Well yeah I did mean that I wanted every player to enter the battle at the same time as the lead ship instead of having to enter the join battle circles, and if you have a group of 6 or more the game does in fact let everyone start at the same time without the use of join circles.
I've also found you can have a group of less than 6 enter a battle at the same time IF the enemy ship is within range of an allied port because the game counts it as a port battle or something which is persistent rather than normal open water battles that lock after an amount of time
