Report a translation problem
Remember that before the grid there was nothing. If you did not havea good idea where you were at sea or used land based markers as way points you got lost for hours.
It isn't perfect but works well enough to make port safely.
It sounds like you want to plot a course on the map so your ship can follow it and you be afk. Takes away from the experience of having to do manual corrections as they did once taking sightings by the stars.
I suppose that is ok as it would give the rest of us more afk ships to plunder :)
I just want to be able to look at my grid coordinates, click on the map to put a marker down, and be able to see my course/position with a physical point. Especially if you look at your position, glance at a nearby port, then have to find your position again on the map. Would just make everything easier if I can put a marker down.
