Indiaman mat requirement
Can someone forward me website of where I can see an updated list of material requirements for building ships?
(Indiaman to be specific), and what cargo does it have?

try naval action wiki. maybe they have updated the stat already. however, after the downsiting of the LGV, I wouldnt be surprised, if the Indiaman too, had it's hold size reduced by 50%.

The mats aren't the proble for any build. The Marks are the issue. I'd suggest, to get the BP first, and then you can see for yourself what is required, in the crafting screen.

Yea the wiki is outdated, shows 8000 cargo and some info from last year, so I'm guessing it is not valid facts.

Suspect, they are getting tired of it too

Indiaman should remain having the largest hold. So from that perspective, she is the only viable ship for profitable and efficient trade, save the shallow water ports. The stupendous requirments for PVE marks to build one of her, would confirm this. The devs want them to be scarce as pink dotted unicorns

Talked to a clan mate last night that has one.. I think he said it was around 3200 now.. largest in game.. Traders Brig for some bizarre reason is 2nd biggest at 1750....

Aye, the devs have gone completely mad! 3200 is the size of the old GV, roughly. And the real GV was indeed a cargo ship. I mean the name suggests it: the big belly!

Put the Brig and GV models next to eachother, and judge which has the bigger hold.

So if you want the capacity of an old Indy, you have to have 3 in fleet. which robs you of quite some perk points and perk slots. Not to mention the 325 PVE marks

I know, I can't help using my head. I think it stems from this outdated idea of honoring your parents. Mommy said, use your head - that's what it's there for.

Yes but now you can sail 4 trader ships filled with goods. So overall capacity is much higher than before.

Right but you can only effectively fight with 1 of them.. AI ships are still a joke for defending themselves

Yes, and that eats up 3 perk slots +1 slot for the improved cargo hold.
and before you get there, you must capture 350 odd ships to get the Marks required

So you get 60% more cargo capacity sailing 4 ships, which require 350 odd Marks. Until that time, you have spent a million on guns, repairs and crew getting the marks.

And when you do sail with 12800 capacity, you kill the local market forf all, cause you will suck it empty with 1 fleet.

So all in all, I don't see how this serves any other purpose, than to get people into PVE mark grinding, filling the servers with activities, many players would not have chosen given a choice.

It is a patronizing dictate. It has nothing to do with open world sandbox

3 perk slots? you mean we have NO fleet at all without suing a Perk slot?(just came back 2 days ago).. I read those as extra ships not the only ships for perks...

Even better than taht:
1 extra ship 1 sclot, 2 extra ships another slot, 3 extra ships yet another slot. Improved cargo hold another slot.

And the prices for the incremetal fleet upgrade, require incrementally rising perk points

I am at sea right now, so i cannot look into it. but I believe you only have 6 or so slots total. so using 4 is quite something. and if you decide to switch to a different perk setup? Guess what, you can...but of course that requires: you guessed it PVE marks...and oh, the points initially invested are gone of course.

That is such a narrow minded view, I cannot even begin to explain it to you. And even if I did, judging from your earlier comments, any logical train of thought exploring the implications this patch has on the big picture, is probably a non starter.
