Steam or 3DS version?
Which one should I buy? I want to have it for my 3ds collection, but if the PC version is superior then I'll get that.

Look at the Vita and 3DS screenshot comparisons going around. The textures and lighting on the 3DS version look awful, and it's lower resolution than Vita.

Then realize that you can run it at an even higher resolution on PC.

From what I've seen the only differences between the platforms are graphical, so if you value portability (and touch controls, I guess) over graphics, go with the 3DS version. I'm gonna get it for the Vita, myself.

I made a list of all the +ves and -ves I could think of for each version
PC
+ Superior graphical quality
+ Portability (If played on a laptop)
+ Accessable to anyone with a Steam account and decent PC
+ Can play with Japanese text
+ Digital Artbook and MiniOST included in pre-order
+ Controller support
- No physical version

3DS
+ Dual screens (convenience)
+ Touch controls
+ Portability
- Region locked (Therefore EU/AUS users can't use physical versions)
- Lower graphical quality (although some people prefer the lighting in this version)
- No achievements/trophies

PSVita
+ Graphical quality is similar to the PC version (but at a fixed resolution)
+ Portability
+ Region free (EU/AUS users can import and use a physical copy from US/♥♥♥)
- Note taking may be difficult as the touch screen is capacitive, not resistive

I hope this helps!

I'm in the same situation like you. I decide to get steam version first then get 3DS version on sale for collection.

I agree with *both* of you

Yeah I want both, but I can't afford to drop 80 dollars all at once for a game. I probably will just get in on the PC first and wait for 3ds copy in a few months or so.

Oh. No physical version in the EU? Steam it is then.

Can you please tell me what does it mean?
resistive screen means accurate touch operations with stylus while capacitive screen means less acurrate cuz you have to touch with your finger.

Absolutely, man. I'd generally do the same, hell I've never before done this for a game at launch. I just happen to have extra money to waste this summer, and I'm too much of a massive girlish squemish fan to not go all out.

I also tweeted Uchikoshi I'd buy it on PC & 3DS when the Steam page was announced, and he responded by saying "You are my reason for living" so I'm pretty obligated to do it now.

I'll be honest, if I hadn't preordered the 3DS Limited Edition when it was first announced, I'd probably cancel my pre-order and get the Steam version instead.

I just saw the OVA for VLR. It was short, but awesome! Also I completed the game a few days ago (Got all the endings including the special one). Gotta say I really loved the game, but two things about the ending confused me. Maybe someone could explain it to me.

I’ll put a spoiler warning although most of you seemed like you played the game, but just in case. SO PLEASE DON'T SCROLL OVER THE BLACK BOX IF YOU HAVEN'T COMPLETED Zero's Escape: Virtue's Last Reward! :D

On the Phi ending if Sigma was really in his 68 year old body the whole time why didn't anyone notice? Was he just 68 in that timeline? Also when playing the Kyle Klim part (When you wake up in the infirmary) Is it Sigma's conscious (22 year old) or is it Kyles (AKA K's)? I was a little confused by that since everyone called him Kyle and not Sigma.

First question: Look at my name. Everyone notices Sigma is old, except Sigma. There are several, SEVERAL instances of foreshadowing where people make these polite or subtle jabs or remarks about Sigma's face, and even his right eye.

Second question: It is not Sigma and I believe not even Kyle, but someone else who hasn't even been fully explained yet (there are theories that this individual, "?", represents the player). We can assume he is connected to Sigma and/or Kyle in some way since he inhabits Kyle's body.
