Achievements In This Game Are a Mistake
The way they were planned will actually push players away instead of growing the player base. In addition to it, no crossplay. These two aspects alone are harmful to a game that may actually prove itself good.

If Counter-Strike 2, for instance, changed its achievements after many years, this one could change too, specially at an early stage.

you know I finally got the 5k demolition games played a week before they removed all the achievements, im still so pissed about that
Who cares about achievements anyway? I play the game, not some achievement meta-game.

:mkbear: :100: this
I can't imagine caring about achievements in a fighting game.

I'm glad to see them unlock usually, but unless it's really a single player game I'm really crazy about, I'm not gonna even look at what the achievements are and what they require.
Regardless of whether I like achievements or not I fail to see how the game having a couple of achievements is pushing players away. Someone care to elaborate on what I'm missing here?

Its a new phenomena that had been growing ever since xbox iplemented g,s. These people want all the achievements. Instead playing the game and form your own version of enjoyment they follow a lead called achievements.

And guess what i respect them for that. But its not how i play my games

Nothing wrong with playing to get achievements. What I'm still not getting is how it pushes players away.

For players who like or tend to complete achievements, yes, the online grind mess plus the low player base, at some point could push back a few players, is the worst combination regarding vg achievements... like you will never get them xD

But when you want to play it, you play it no matter what... this game in particular IMO, seeing the actual player base... is a test of patience and endurance if you want that "100%"... no shortcuts pal, just sit and play, if you like it, you will get there someday without even noticing it.

A minority of achievement/trophy hunters will avoid a game if they have extremely hard or annoying achievements.
This is one of the least egregious fighting game achievement lists. All you have to mainly do is play online matches, not even win them. We're on PC so you could setup a script to grind out however many hundreds of matches you need in a locked player lobby with a friend. Probably would take seven or so hours after you have everything else unlocked. :balloonicorn:
