T7 patch or BOIII

Black ops 3 is on sale right now so i wanted to try it.
I am well aware of the exploits and problems with the older cods but i never played or modded bo3. (on pc)
I know that a popular client called BOIII got shut down some time ago but i saw on youtube people playing on it and also mentioning the T7 patch.
As of what i know, from the video made by serious on youtube the T7 patch stops the ratting and exploits but can not protect your ip because of the Demonware servers and some old exploits on the back end.

I have no idea what to do or who to believe, thats why i turned to the Steam community since you guys know whats the matter.
If you could provide some explanations on which is better and how to install it i would really appreciate it
