The following video should explain the current situation: https://youtu.be/S95PLfhLbIg
Although, there are some things that have changed since the video’s release, like mod menus getting updated to work after the update, and the BOIII client no longer releasing. However, that doesn’t take away the fact that the (edit: 4 known) RCE exploits have been patched.
Main point, (edit: 4 known) RCE exploits have been patched, therefore your PC won’t get hacked through them. However, if you play online, you’re still prone to getting your stats modified, getting crashed, getting booted offline, getting your IP leaked, and getting DDoSed.
ok so i dont need any client or anything? i can just boot up and play priv lobbies zombies just fine without any risk? just making sure i understand fully.

Unless hackers have a reason to target you (for example if you’re a streamer), you’ll be fine. If you want to be extra safe, use the t7patch: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2924410249
