My goodness. You completely missed the point I was trying to make... 40k is an amazing number. It really is. Very rarely does a multiplayer first person shooter get there. Compare any multiplayer FPS game. Any one. Black Ops 3 has a healthy number, it really does.

It's all relative. It fluctuates. It changes. Throughout every moment of every day. Every single game I searched - the player numbers dropped. It happens on a daily basis.

Yeah but all those games are old, I never would of thought the player count of a COD game within a week would be so low.

The player numbers for CSGO dropped today as well. Is that game dying too? Player numbers are relative. What I mean by that is - the number itself is useless without comparison to other titles. They fluctuate.

While I don't agree with the sentiment that the game is "dying", I think most of you are missing the point. The rate of decline of the player count is striking. It's been a week and the peak has decreased by ~30%

It doesn't matter. Counter-Strike GO has been out since 2012, and it's the most popular multiplayer first person shooter on PC. Battlefield Hardline only has ~700 players at the moment.

A healthy number is just that - a healthy number. 10k is a healthy number to be in. Black Ops 3 is twice that number.

Im just going to say csgo sucks compaird to this, any cod will beat csgo because csgo doesnt change, they make thousands off players that buy skins.

You do realise it was fckin release week the numbers you are talking about. The numbers dropped, you don't fcking say, EVERY SINGLE GAME does this release and to the second week, what's your problem are you just trying to troll on purpose and get a rise from people or something.

People call sick off work, get days of school, stay up till midnight etc etc to get release titles at time of release, do you really think all these people will be doing the same 2 weeks later, NO!!! of course not.

Not only that but this week is the last week before blackfriday and thanksgiving in the us. School is still in session. Retail business are in overtime hours. Grocery stores are in overtime hours. And nobodies vactations are anywhere to be found. Player pop is going to drop significantly and it might pick up during the holidays.

I know I won't be on much with me working 8-10 days in a row.
