You can buy additional create a class slots, which for some users may be worth 3$.
But also, it's a different situation than AW. In AW, you could basically pay to win because the crates had some pretty OP weapons that could only be obtained by opening crates.
However, in BO3, everything in the crates is cosmetic. So, for the hardcore players, they can earn Cryptokeys by playing normally and still get everything. But if you want to get cool camos, taunts, and cosmetics quickly, you pay for a few crates. No big deal.
I do see where people are coming from though. Microtransactions, ridiculously expensive season passes, and DLC in general are taking over the gaming world in a negative way. I wish we could go back to when you paid money for a game and that's that. I don't think companies should charge for things like this, but I can't really do anything about it. I have a job and video games are my hobby, so I can justify paying for extra custom classes and maybe a few crates.
Also; I'm totally buying mine for the Supply Drops, I couldn't give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about custom class slots. I barely even play the multiplayer anyway.
Sounds like this new feature will be great for your life then
Cod points can be pruchased to get some "customizing items only" at a faster pace than normal wich will not make you a better player. You can still earn krypto keys by just playing the game. These kind of microtransaction are totally fine with me. The thing is, you can hate all you want but microtransactions are part of gaming now because people buy those damn things. A business is a business. As long as there will be customers, there will be an offer. Just deal with it.
For 80$ I get a full game (wich are bigger and bigger nowadays) like Bo3 and have already at this time more than 70hrs on it. I cant think of any cheaper ways to past my time and have fun right now.
Actually, It ends up being $2... 200 they give you automatically + 200 (since you have to buy in denominations of at least 200 = xtra custom classes + 100 left over points.. kind of a rip off since it could have been in the game for free... maybe next game they can give your in game character one arm and sell a second arm as micro DLC
