I think this would work a lot better nowadays.
This is not the capcom I grew up with.
its the same game. but the board is new.
Let me tell you a very sad story about a foolish man who got caught in the beauty and hype of the hottest new SF game, "Street Fighter V" and bought a nice edition of it, the one that came with some skins for karin, ibuki , sakura and etc.
He realized that, as expensive the game was, he didn't unlock everything. it was like some stupid ass MOBA game where he'd need to burn some cash to play the game the way he'd like to.
So he underwent on a journey to buy skin bundles, upcoming fighter passes and even individual skins.
Having spent a considerable amount of money better spent in other games by more considerate publishers, he decided he had everything he needed.
and then BOOM: CHAMPION EDITION. A more complete edition of the game with all the skins, and stages! Naturally he made the upgrade.
He was also a little bitter, because you see : He didn't receive any sort of refund for the money he burned on the in-game shop, nor steam, he didn't receive anything special other than it was advertised, no "youre a considerate costumer" message or any trap like that.
He bought the same game, a second time and "unlocked" stuff he had unlocked before, if just he had waited a little more, CAPCOM wouldn't have gotten his way again.
Now he sees CAPCOM preparing itself for another undignified CAPCOM move, but this time he's going to be patient, he's going to wait. drek the season, drek "early acces to content' drrek all this mess, its going to be available cheaper, later on, in the same game in a different package on a different shade of red paint.
I mean we all chide Gamefreaks for managing to sell ONE GAME FOR THE PRICE OF TWO, but CAPCOM manages to resell the same game for pretty much the same price every now and again, at least three or four times.
