That got crippled though. No bonus FM. You only get FM from levelups that the EXP gives you.

Gets better. The reason they gave is "it's too hard for most people to earn FM in survival." Colors aren't unlocked unless you buy DLC characters with money either indivdually or season pass. So if you want colors you have to grind them in Survival.

Oh you know those "free" Premium Costumes you can earn in Extra Battle? After spending a minimum of 10,000 FM to earn them only colors 1 & 2 are unlocked. You need to take that costume through survival for colors 3-10. I made a thread on it and posted a screencap from the game as proof.

Single player content no longer rewards FM. Just XP.
XP does contribute towards leveling up your character and each level up rewards 1,000FM

Assuming you get a new character that starts at level 0.
If you do trials, story mode, survival easy and normal, you should end with 20,000FM.
This is a drop of about 10,500FM from what you would of earn before.

Completing hard and extreme surivial will give you enough XP for another 10 level ups or 10,000FM this is down 30,000FM from before. But for the most part all this FM was beyond the casual players reach.

Is for most players they are only realisticly losing out on about 10,500FM per character.

Capcom are offering new ways to earn FM and have said the fight money rewards from weekly mission will increase and will be realistically earnable by most players where as hard and extreme proved very difficult and luck based even for pro players.

Remains to be seen though how much is earnable through the new content.

Can understand why they did it.
If you bought AE and the old FM system was in place, it would very easy to mass up a huge amount of FM and most people would not have to pay for characters for the next 2 seasons.

Only a Capcuck would justify them removing FM gain so they can profit more. The FM system is in place so people can earn it to buy things without spending money. The 400 Chun Premium costumes alone are more than enough to fund this game.

If you actually played the game it would be a nonissue.
in fact the only people on here complaining about this release are people that bought the base game, were not happy with it, never looked at it again for 2 years, then read some fake news on the internet saying they were going to get everything released up to now for free.
Everyone that actually plays Streetfighter V has HAD this stuff unlocked, I am not even remotely hardcore, in 2 years I have barely dropped 50 hours into this game and I didn't pay a cent for the season 2 fighters, just got all 6 of them with fight money.

How does Capcom's ♥♥♥♥ taste like?
