Can't log in?
I keep reading the servers are online, so I'm taking everyone's word for it. Every time I go to log in the game gives me the offline mode dialogue.

"Game will continue in offline mode. If you wish to log in then do so by using the Login option in the main menu." I do exactly that. Go to the main menu, press login, and get the SAME message repeated.

I'm bumping this because I'm getting the same problem... It's so hard to find a solution, every other thread I find is about server issues.

BUMP. Bought yesterday, can't log in at all, same message. I'm reading online that i shoudlv'e been prompted to create a SFV account - but that hasn't happened and i don't seem to be able to force it

Recently having the same issue.
I Run SFV and I am not logging into the servers and I am running the game in offline mode. This just started today.

I've contacted Capcom support, and i got a lazy canned-response saying that they're aware matchmaking is poor and they're working to improve it. Almost nothing to do with my actual issue of not being able to connect at all, because i wasn't prompted to create an ID.

I installed on a different system and was immediately prompted to create a Fighter ID. It then connected me to online play without any issues - but my main computer still doesn't recognise this option or allow me to play online. Seems to be some kind of install issue maybe?

Already tried Firewall / Router Port forwarding?
Bloodghast May 9, 2016 @ 6:00am
Yup.

Are both PC systems connected to the same network/router? If not, try use the working LAN with your main PC. Also make sure that all software firewalls are disabled for this test (windows firewall and antivirus/internet security firewall).

After that point it's trial and error to find out the culprit / differences between both PCs, which lead to different internet connection results.

No they're on different networks. I can try disabling the firewalls entirely but sadly can't use the main PC on the working network. I do still believe this to be a problem with installation rather than network, but i'll give it a stab. Thanks for the recommendation.

I fixed it. Control panel, network setting, diagnose a problem, incoming connections, street fighter 5, auto detected a network issue. Sorted.

Thanks for feedback, hopefully this will also help others and forum admins sticky the solution.
