Network adapter causing fps slowdown

Hey guys!

As many of you, i also suffered from inexplainable framerate drops, and gradual fps slowdowns. Finally, i was able to figure out what causes the problem.

It's my network adapter. If i go to my network connections and manually disable my local connections network adapter, i'll get a silky smooth 60 fps in game. I tested it for hours today, and the fps never dropped, not even a single frame.

But, as you can guess, this prevents me from playing the game online, so all i can do really is grinding it out in training mode, which is... kinda meh for 60 euros :D

Im using my motherboards integrated network card:

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

So my question is... any of you had this problem, and found a solution? What can cause this wierd fps slowdown in my network adapter? Maybe i should buy a dedicated, pci network card and use that instead? I thought that disabling the adapter might cause a background program to stop interfering with SFV, but at this point, i checked my process lists over and over again, i haven't found anything. I even blocked, deleted stuff like Bonjour lol.

If you guys could help out, i would greatly appreciate it!

I went as far as buying a PCI network card (TP LINK TG-3269) for my PC. But the issue stayed. I have to disable this new adapter also, if i wanna play without fps drop. So this is clearly not a hardwer issue after this point.

if you find a solution post here, ive tried both windows 7 and windows 10, i've tried both a nvidia onboard network card and realtek wireless usb adapter and I still have this problem

In my case, i also experienced FPS drop when connected to the internet using the WIFI to unstable 30~40 but when I turn the WIFI off, the FPS back to normal 60 FPS. No issue when I connect via ethernet though. So what did i do was disabling all WAN adapters. You can check your network adapters at Device Manager>Network adapters. this is the list of all my adapters :-

-Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
-Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
-Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165
-Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
-WAN Miniport (IKEv2)
-WAN Miniport (IP)
-WAN Miniport (IPv6)
-WAN Miniport (L2TP)
-WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)
-WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
-WAN Miniport (SSTP)

So, I disabled all WAN Miniport drivers and the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and the FPS drop fixed. Now I can play games using WIFI with full 60 FPS performance.

I found out the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller adapter causing the FPS drop. So I only need to disable that adapter only to fix the problem.

Tethered internet adapters can also cause performance drops, bridging them in Windows network settings with the LAN adapter helps (select both, right click and choose bridge).

Anyone else who is still having that issue after applying these workarounds, can try the second one:
Create a new/fresh secondary Windows account and run SFV from it, don't forget to copy your singleplayer progress savegames to the new account.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this actually worked for me for Red Dead Redemption 2, I've been struggling with fps drops while online and couldn't find anything on google that helped! Bridging the connections fixed it! Thank you so much

EDIT: Actually this didnt work and only appeared to work, formatting my ssd and installing a clean version of windows actually solved a lot of problems I was having
