[SOLVED] The game simply doesn't start at all!
Hi,

The game doesn''t start at all for me. When I'm lucky, I have a maximized window with "StreetFighterV" in the title bar, full of black. I cannot do anything with it, it is stuck, have to kill it to close it...

Most of the time, nothing happens when I launch the game, and I have 3 instances of the StreetFighterV.exe in the tasks manager. 2 at 0% CPU and another with very few CPU usage.

All this happens after selecting SFV or SFV low spec.

The beta was working fine...

Here is my DXDiag: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c3u8b09pa45p72b/DxDiag.txt?dl=0

Thanks

i've got a similar problem. Game just will not launch. steam says i'm playing for all of about 3 secs, then stops, regardless of which option i choose, it's always the same result

Same issue here. Tried reinstalling it but that didn't work. Game was working fine during launch (sort of) but as of right now, nothing happens.

Mine goes black and then I get a error box full of FATAL ERRORS

I'm having the exact same problem too. I load it up, even in low spec mode, and all I get is the Capcom screen, fades to black, and then nothing.

if you have anti virus protection you may have to disable it while you play the game
Tried that, updated my drivers, and verified game cache

Same.

When I try to run it from Steam, the game doesn't even start (literally nothing happens). When I open directly the .exe from the game folder I get a black screen and the Steam store page opens (wtf?) .

Tried everything: disabled my AV, verified the game cache, ran it as administrator / with different compatibility modes...

I'm running Win 10 x64 and have an AMD R290X GPU with the latest drivers, 2560x1440p@120Hz.

Waiting for a quick patch, if it isn't pushed in the next days I'll just refund the game and wait for a working version.

OK, found the solution!!!

The problem is due to the starting video not working properly at first startup.

In order to fix the problem:
- Go to \steamapps\common\StreetFighterV\Content\Movies
- Rename the OpeningTrPC.wmv file into anything you like
- Launch the game

The game now starts properly but without the intro video.
After a first successful start, I was able to rename the file back to its original name.

The only problem now is a crash on exit. Not a real problem :)

Tried renaming or deleting the video file, doesn't change anything for me, still a black screen :(

Tried the same thing with no luck. This is terrible!

I can confirm this worked for me and followed Chrilith's instructions. I renamed the file simply "OpeningSFV" and started the game up and seemed to have no problem.
Thanks alot mate for posting this, I hope the others will have similar luck!
(BTW still can't log in, bloody servers but at least the game works for now)

I purchase this game today, but am unable to get the to launch. I tried the above methods described, but it doesn't work. When I start the game as administrator the Steam store page appears but no game. I am running a win 10 game laptop with NVidia GTX card. I guess it is a graphics related problem.
