illl should try that. thanks
Hey, I have the same problem since the launch of the game that I have profusely documented, devs I see you've answered in this thread, could you please take a look at this issue? It COMPLETELY prevents me from playing the game.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/310950/discussions/1/405692758711628541/
As I've said in my thread I'm using Avast as an Antivirus and I have whitelisted the entire SFV folder, then the entire Steam folder (in which is my SFV folder), then I completely disabled it, but it didn't solve anything the game still crashes instantly.
This is the first time for years I absolutely can't play a game on PC, whatever I do. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and I really don't see how I can fix this on my end, really hope there is a patch coming for people with this issue. I can help you out if you want me to try some things, just ask me and I'll try it and report here (please check everything I've already tried in the thread I linked).
Thanks!
Copy/pasting all the info in case people don't go check my thread:
The issue: https://gfycat.com/MintyLongBichonfrise
My specs:
- Windows 10 x64
- AMD R9 290X, 4GB VRAM
- 2560x1440p @120Hz
- Intel i7 4770k
- 16GB RAM
- AV: Avast Free Antivirus version 11.1.2245
- AMD Video Drivers Version: 15.301.1801 (latest as 02/27/16)
Fixes I already tried:
- Updating video drivers
- Verifying game cache
- Whitelisting SFV folder / completely disabling AV
- Running the game in compatibility mode / as administrator
- Launching the game by using the .exe in the game folder
- Renaming the intro movie
- Editing the .cfg files (changing the resolution, the fullscreen status)
- I don't have any tactile devices / touch screens, nor any drivers related to this.
- Deleting the files in \AppData\Local\StreetFighterV\
- Deleting all the game files and reinstalling the game.
- Changing my screen resolution / refresh rate (to 1080p@60Hz)
(and probably more I'm forgetting)
iff used this folder F:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\StreetFighterV to allow it with my virusscanner. i also tryed this :
1) From your Steam Library list, right-click on Street Fighter V and select Properties.
2) Click the LOCAL FILES tab.
3) Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache..." and allow the validation process to run its course. Please disable or shutdown your anti-virus while this process runs.
This process allows the Steam client to scan every single file you downloaded for this game, verify checksum of each, and compare that against the file manifest data on Steam's content server. If the file is missing or has a different checksum value, you will receive a message stating "X files failed to validate and will be reacquired." What this means is that some files have either been deleted, or may have been corrupted. Click “Close,” and Steam will automatically download and / or replace the problem files.
Same here. Can't launch the game. I use Avast too but I don't think there is any way to just "disable" Avast. I proably have to uninstall it. I have tried disabling all the realtime sheilds and made an exception for the whole game folder with no luck...
But this is silly! This is the first time ever since the time of Windows 95 that I have EVER had a game that does not run at all. Seriously... Even if the problem is Avast or any other anti-virus, why can't this game run when EVERY other game I have runs just fine with anti-virus enabled? The problem here is Capcom and poor programming. Fix it or I want my money back.
