Running the game
So let's say I have 8gb of ram and no graphics card. Let's set aside the game not being satisfactory but eh...will the game run without lag or does GPU play a huge role In the smooth running of the game, I need answers please 🙏

There's a benchmark for the game: https://game.capcom.com/sfv/benchmark/us/

The GPU is the most important component for any game. You also have some kind of GPU, probably an integrated one, try the benchmark.

I was able to run this on a Ryzen 5 3500U with just the Vega 8 iGPU. 1080p with high-medium-medium-medium-low settings on 50 resolution scaling will do 60 fps.

I already have the game on my POTATO PC and only 2gb ram. I meant, if I were to upgrade my ram and leave the graphics ( I use integrated Intel chips), NO LAG???

I believe that so long as you can run the game at 60fps, and you are perfectly fine with the game looking visually like a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then you should be able to play online with minimal lag. This is all assuming you have a wired connection and aren’t using WiFi for fighting games like a knuckle-dragging neanderthal.

Keep in mind dear readers: There’s no excuse for WiFi! Especially when there’s cheap, easy and effective solutions to bring a wired connection to where your pc/console is without drilling holes!

More RAM won't improve your fps from unplayable to playable. If your potatoe pc had only 2gb of ram at stock the rest of the system is seemingly so old/slow that adding ram won't give you any improvements.

Actually, it meets all other requirements except these two

So you say wired is the best?

I actually have a PC like that, 8GB of RAM and integrated AMD Radeon HD Graphics which is better than Intel integrated stuff. The game runs in slow motion even on the lowest settings., don't even bother. It works perfectly on my other PC where i have an actual good GPU, a Radeon RX 570. While you need at least 6, preferably 8 GB RAM to play it, it's not the RAM that matters the most, you need a good GPU first of all.

So you say, if i decide to buy a gtx1050ti or thereabout, have 8gb of ram BUT use an Intel Pentium G2030 @ 3.00ghz maximum speed, game performance will boost??.

Now that you've shown me the processor, likely not. That processor will severly bottleneck the 1050ti. That's a freaking dual core, it should be ancient history by now. You better just buy an entirely new PC that at least meets the recommended requirements for the game. Did you even look at them? If not, then at least buy a weaker, older GPU that can be supported by that processor like a GTX 670 if they can still be found.

Yes. For reaction-based fighting games that support direction connections between two players, wired connections offer the lowest latency for the signals to go between both players. Geographic distance will always be a factor, but wired connections will enhance online play by a significant degree.

As far as PC components go, I would think a minimum of a 1050Ti to maybe a 2060 should be good enough to run the game on high at 60fps. But having a low-end CPU is going to bottleneck your system. The CPU will have the game image data running through it from the GPU while also running the game programming code at the same time. So if the CPU is cheap and low-end, all that data is trying to squeeze through the CPU at the same time and things will get bogged down. I would say to not skimp on your CPU if possible.

Is upgrading my graphics card a risk worth taking speaking of the CPU....

Because, money to put in for a new PC will get me a PS4 with a lil bit of change....

Then better buy a PS4. Dude, your PC is old, everything needs to be replaced. But if you could find some place that still sells older GPU's that could match your PC, like a GTX 670 as I said, then better go for that than a modern GPU that probably won't even fit in your motherboard if it's also just as old as everything else.

The G2030 with the GTX 1050Ti and 8gb RAM should work. Just reduce the detail until you get 60fps.
