Keep in mind dear readers: There’s no excuse for WiFi! Especially when there’s cheap, easy and effective solutions to bring a wired connection to where your pc/console is without drilling holes!
Yes. For reaction-based fighting games that support direction connections between two players, wired connections offer the lowest latency for the signals to go between both players. Geographic distance will always be a factor, but wired connections will enhance online play by a significant degree.
As far as PC components go, I would think a minimum of a 1050Ti to maybe a 2060 should be good enough to run the game on high at 60fps. But having a low-end CPU is going to bottleneck your system. The CPU will have the game image data running through it from the GPU while also running the game programming code at the same time. So if the CPU is cheap and low-end, all that data is trying to squeeze through the CPU at the same time and things will get bogged down. I would say to not skimp on your CPU if possible.
Because, money to put in for a new PC will get me a PS4 with a lil bit of change....
