In fact, SteamDB shows that they've removed the DRM 'HyperTech Crackproof' from the game that was in it for quite a while.
I myself don't know what Enigma Protector code looks like (or if it gets detected clearly by Detect-it-Easy), but it could be that the update added it in place of the old DRM. Don't take my word for it though.
Gpu performance has gained... at 4k maxed out.. i'm only seeing 38% usage on the waterfall stage and thats without the GPU boosting to its max gaming clock like it once did. Temps aren't going above 40c lol meaning the gpu doesn't think its under enough load to warrant boosting. Might be the best update SFV has ever got. Inputs feel cleaner too now.
Whatever that old drm was it was obviously messing with the game alot.
I can't really tell if it does have Enigma, honestly. But yesterday I gave the game a spin for an hour or two and didn't notice any frame-drops that weren't there before, so at the very least it's not a RE:Revelations situation this time. Mods are unaffected too.
EDIT: wait nvm its still kinda broken.
Those would definitely not be stored in the main EXE though (which was basically the only file that was updated). Also I think those are managed server-side.
