why people hate to fight against ryu ?

Well, i dont see any dhalsims. I hate playing against gief because he scares me too much.

A good Ryu is a good challenge, a bad Ryu who starts the match by backdashing in a corner and then throws fireballs is just an annoying fight.
Anyway, many new players should've thought that Ryu is a too common character to pick... so they now mostly choose his American banana haired counterpart instead.

On a side note, I've been seeing a lot more Nash than Ryu recently.

I don't hate playing against ryu. some people do because that's all they see or because they think he's OP (HA!).

OMG are you me?! That is exactly how my session went last night. Only I was lucky enough to have one cammy and one laura drop in to the mix.

that is so true mate ! yesterday 10 ranked 8 ryus 1 birdie 1 cammy; Casual : plenty of chars but still have fought many ryus.
Sad thing is that there is a lot of ryus but most of them are very very very bad ... just fed up to have only one match up here.

its okay guys. GIve people time to learn the game through Ryu. Hopefully they would have picked up 3-4 other characters when they have a better idea how the game works and take risks with them.

People who picked up characters like Laura and not having an idea how to player her will get beat bad early on. Because she's not a beginner friendly character like Ryu, Cammy, Birdie or Necalli. So why blame the people learning the game through Ryu so they can graduate to someone different down the road and not be a scrub because of it?

Also believe it or not, people are more comfortable trying to learn an alternate character safely in casuals so their LPs don't get blown up.

yes he was better in SF4 because ryu was overpowered. now that the balance is quite ok he isjust bad :) (for a pro player i mean )
