quite sad
btw even high ranking players have said the same thing.
And watch out for teleports!
If he tries the Yoga Fire gimmiks, dash up and knock him down.
Yoga Flames are safe on block but not +, you can press buttons.
His teleports have recovery and can usualy be punished on reaction or OS.
If you wanna beat him you should then break his setup into pieces and find a proper answer to each of his attacks. For instance, his legs and arms can sure reach very far, but it also mean he has a much longer hurtbox... his slides can be thrown on hit (worst case you'll tech) and you should have your AA of choice ready for when he teleports.
I still have to beat a Sim for two consecutive rounds, but his game logic looks pretty transparent to me. A match against him is more like a puzzle game than a fighting game. A Gief may still surprise you... but a Sim mostly doesn't.
Oh and of course ts-sabin is probably a very good player too, so you shouldn't take him as a paradigm of the average Dhalsim.
He really isn't as tough as you think, you make him sound godly (which he is if in the right hands) but he can't hit ya if he can't touch ya.
When he keeps away, don't rush him. Wait for him to come to you, he's going to be doing a lot of lows, so what you have to do is sweep him (crouching heavy kick).
When he gets knocked down is when you have to rush the living hell out of him. He can't get pressure off of him unless if he does a V-reversal.
When he spits out a fireball, expect a teleport. The best thing to do is to mash jab, or time a medium punch combo perfectly.
If the fireball gets to close, jump backwards and do a heavy jumping kick. Trust me, it will reach him if he teleports behind you.
When he spits the fireball up in the air, you can do Karin's Ex shoulder move and punish him hard.
Basically block everything until he comes to you, if he tries to turtle you; rush him with your overhead special move attack.
That's pretty much it, don't become impatient.
Dhalsim - due to the limits of the moves of characters in this game- is very powerful. I agree- he is a bit of a beast to deal with just based on:
- damage scale higher in this game
- teleport teleport teleport
- frustration inducing player that can chip you down until you crack and make a move at the wrong time towards him.
