PS2 Controller support?
Will this game support the old playstation 2 controller via usb adapter? If so, i'll probably grab it. I dont want to purchase any other controller for this. I remember i played SFIV flawlessly with this old ps2 pad, no problem with combos at all. This game does not need more than that. The digital stick is already super responsive.

As far as I've heard, they're going to bring in future PS3 and PS4 controller support. Although, there were no messages about PS2 controller.

Yes i have an old PS2 Stick (Hrap 2) and i was able to use it during the betas on Pc.

But you cant use it natively, you have to remap keyboard buttons on the stick with softwares like Xpadder or Joy2key then you will be fine : )
Also make sur your usb adapter is lag free to enjoy the game at his best :steamhappy:

May I ask,how to make sure, that USB is lag free? How does that work?

I wasn't able to use the ps2 controller, only ps3 with help of DS3 :steamsad:

PS2 controllers use Directinput so no there is currently no support.

Anyone know,if Xbox One controllers should work for this game?
TedTheMechanic Feb 15, 2016 @ 12:39pm
Good question indeed hahah.
I dont know any softwares that are able to do that even if i'm sur they exist plenty of them.

So the only "human" way to do that is to compair the delay on the input with a regular Usb controller.
For exemple at home i also have a Xbox36 Stick and it's a native Usb Stick so it doesnt need any adapter when i plug it. I Know 100% there is no delay on that stick.
So when any controller doesnt give the same time response then the Xbox36 Stick i know that one has some delay issue.

In General Usb Controllers will have no lag when plugged on Pc, except if the controller is really bad quality.

The delay problems apply only to adapter that also can be very good quality (lag free) or bad quality (a lot of delay on the inputs).

Of course they work, there's native support for both x360/One controllers.

I usually play my games (steam, emulators, etc) with ps2 controllers, but sfv beta didn't recognize it.

Just use a Usb adapter and Xpadder to use PS2 controllers on SFV.

This topics is useless if people dont even read the solutions we are giving them :steamfacepalm:

No what he is saying is that sometimes things like USB converters add more input delay to the controller.
