that is odd since it should work fine in win8
that stick would only need usb2.0 and 4.0 doesn't exist, 3.1 is the highest
only thing I can think of is the usb chipset your pc uses just doesn't like your stick, have you tried different usb ports to see if it works on those?
does anything work when you try the stick? buttons work?
On my previous rig and and my current rig, I had to buy a via chipset to get my stick going. The buttons would register in the device manager, but not the stick. Had zero effect in games.
You will need to use a 3rd party software like joy2key or x360ce to use it.
The usb port has nothing to do with the fact it won't work...
The statement about SFV's input framework support is also true, so you should probably go ahead and upgrade (or mod) your stick.
I use the HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Premium VLX made for PS4/PS3/PC, kind of impossible to use any other stick after this one as it's the gold standard and it's the licensed replica from the proper cabinets in japan. I meant literally just go buy the PS4 version and play that instead.
This stick works flawless on PC with every other game I've played, including USFIV. I think it was just probably some gross oversight by one of the QA depts and they'll patch it in later. I just really prefer to use my stick now, no hard feelings with the PC version for me. I can come back to it once they get the game up to speed with PS4. Hopefully soon!
Apparently not, as my HORI isn't gonna work it looks like. I'm just gonna head to the PS4 version until they implement all the features of the game on PC.
My stick is the Marvel vs Capcom 2 TE PS3 stick, it worked fine on Windows 7, but apparantly once I upgraded to Windows 10 the drivers in the stick weren't compatable anymore. I had to buy a converter, the one I got was the Brook PS3 to PS4 Super Converter, bought it through their ebay page. This allowed my inputs to register again, then supplement it with x360ce to work.

To get your PS3 TE Stick to work under Windows you need to install a USB card with the VIA Chipset. I had to do this back years ago when SF4 originally came out on PC. This card worked for me under Windows 7 for a long time. I have yet to test it in my new Windows 10 rig but will soon.
I've been able to use my PS3 TE Stick in PC SF4, PC USF4, and all PC KOF's. The fact that Street Fighter 5 doesn't allow you to use MOST arcade sticks in this day in age is the BIGGEST BALL DROPPED OF ALL TIME. I'm a developer and we added Dinput support in 1 day to a steam title! So Capcom don't even try to tell me of any technical hurdles.
I have an SE version of the PS3 fightstick and it's never worked on my computers. I tested it on my new system here a few months ago in preparation for this game and it actually worked when plugged into a USB 3.0 port, but now that the game released and I decided to play it, for some reason the stick doesn't work again.
So I've had enough and ordered a new PCB from Xgaming, which is compatible with PC's and every console. It's going to replace all the electronics in my stick. I already upgraded the stick and buttons with Sanwa stuff a few years back. The only thing left over which is Madcatz will be the casing which I'm sure I'll replace at some point.
