Thank you for the vote of confidence! I have my doubts, though... I found it easier to get the 300 wins in ranked matches than get to Silver. Perhaps I'll pick up the game sometime in 2024. Until then I think I'll continue to try and get 100% in Ultra Street Fighter IV.
Will do. At least IV allowed players a way to boost each other for all the online achievements. I've got all of those taken care of already.
As for SFV gold rank, it cannot be boosted since SFV ranked is completely random while not completely dead, making it really brutal compared to other FGs. You really need to get good to obtain it. It's one of those achievements that you can be proud of, and I know I can't since I'm too lazy for that lol.
Most of the achievements I have left are just grindy (like complete the game on Medium or higher with all characters). If there is anything that will prevent me from getting 100% at this point, it'll be "defeat X on hardest." I've ead a cheesy technique to get those, but it involves using Zangief... one of my worst characters. Maybe I'll get lucky and discover a different cheesy technique.
Yeah... I'm hoping someone has found a way to boost or cheese it, but I have a feeling I'm out of luck. I'm still hopeful though. Maybe someday....
That's maybe not the answer you want to read but knowing some basics stuff from a game you seems to enjoy (Anybody can be gold.) is the best option in my opinion. :)
Since you can not be boosted, that's the best and only choice if you want to be gold.
Only way to "cheese" is to play easy/noob stomping character like Luke (100% recommended.), Abigail, Laura, Honda but you still need some works, :)
If you're a beginner (or a casual player who do not really know how to "properly" play)
I advice you to learn how to anti air (Ryu shoryuken, cammy canon spike etc...) nobody should jump on you, it's prohibed. You should punish it everytime, jumping is prohibed !
Learn your safe move, your best buttons
(First thing you should learn before anything else!)
Learn some basics combos for your characters, learn block string. Use thick throw, Do not be too agressive, let the other player making mistake. Learn some classics match-ups (like most played characters online)
Thats maybe not the best advice but you'll be gold in no time with that. :)
This guy make lot of Rookie to Diamond tutorial, should help you for the gold :)

I may get back into the game later on, but we'll see. It would be nice to get 100% of the achievements in Street Fighter V eventually, but I have a lot of other games in my library to play, too.
