Any good cheap controllers?
I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ salty as ♥♥♥♥ right now because I just lost like 20 matches in a row to failed blocks and my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ keyboard not registering my inputs correctly. I have like $15 and need to know a good controller I can get so I can actually play this game. Any suggestions?

Do not buy cheap copy Xbox controller. Genuine Xbox Controller is good but not cheap, try eBay plenty

save up a bit and the HORI FC4 is your best bet with the best D-pad for Fighting games int he business.

If you are lucky, maybe a second hand PS3 controller?

i'm using the logitech F310 gamepad and im very happy with it. 30Euros

The LT and RT buttons are pretty meh but everything else is great - good physical feedback from the D-Pad and works without any additional software for SF5

only recommended if you dont intend to use the control sticks though

I already have a logitech but the one I have is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ solely because of the square joystick thing. I can't smoothly slide it around because the sides are completely flat and going even just a little bit above absolute middle sends me flying through the air.

PS4 controller is good. I suggest an N64 controller however.

ok but what programs would I need for a ps4 controller to work?

You just drop the X360ce dll in the SFV folder and it wraps the DInput.

I fully agree with you. The price/quality ratio of the Logitech F310 is very good, one of the best, and I have tried many, many peripherals for PC so I don't say this lightly. The LT and RT are good for triggers if you ask me, but of course less good as buttons, just like with a regular xbox controller. The d-pad, however, is extremely good, it's what makes it the best gamepad on the market at this moment in my opinion. What's also really good is the switch for dinput or xinput support, so it indeed works with everything, without any additional software.

Yes that's true, the older ones have really badly designed analog stick sockets. But the F310 doesn't have squares, the sockets are nicely round. Also, you have a Logitech gamepad, and you're not using the d-pad? What's wrong with you? ;)

Thanks for this. Was looking for a pad like this. 6 buttons plus shoulders. I last used this style pad on snes killer instinct. I'm not going to take it up full time but I need this layout for KI as its a paper rock scissors kind of style combo game. But would like to try sfv with it. Been a while since I used this style to play with too.

This. But you may need a little more than 15$ (which is just the price of the adapter) unless you're lucky as I was and you find someone selling his Saturn USB pad for the same price.

Get a SONY ps4 controller. Offbrand is ♥♥♥♥, and you'll get terrible response time from all of them. INCLUDING the terrible Matcatz controllers.
