Just dropping that here.
No but seriously Gief hates zoning and projectiles somthing Ryu can do.
Ryu is having trouble fighting against Zangief...
Well if isn't this the biggest case of irony to date
Spam Hadokens, Keep your distance, If you go in to attack, try not to stay in for too long
Wrong SPD is 5f, normal throws are 5f, but normal throws have priority over Commandgrabs.
This was also the case in SFIV, but there was every SPD 2f and f***ed everything in the game up.
Once Gief has V-Trigger you can forget your fireballs from midscreen, you should learn to zone with your normals and play footsies against him. Actualy is fighting Zangief one of the most entertaining matches in V, but this might be because I don't play projektile chars. At least none of mine is in the game.
And don't forget EX SPD is still throw invincible and his CA has 1f startup.
I love Zangief. I really do, but I might be switching to Guile. While Zangief's command throws are very powerful, the design of throws (in general) is pretty dang broken (in my opinion).
