Juri is becoming more unlikeable to me

Her 'side'(good or bad) has blurred now, although seem to lean more on good for the time being. But man, she's reaching FANG's level of annoyance now.

1. Talks ♥♥♥♥ to other fighters, loving to inflict pain and ♥♥♥♥; all the while, the very reason she could hang out with the best of the Street Fighter cast was that damn eye thingy. Her strength wasn't the result of her own training and perseverance. She's about as fake as C. Viper, although Viper at least acknowledge that she's all about the tools.

2. Her only role in the story is helping Cammy and her sisters. Even then, she talks smack all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and just won't shut the ♥♥♥♥ up.

3. Her theme song is obnoxiously lazy. 'Minimal' techno styled theme songs have been done in fighting games before, namely 'KD0079' arranged from The King of Fighters 99, but Sha-V did it right. Hideyuki Fukusawa on the other hand made Juri's song as if he got so lazy, he just scribbled random notes on FL Studio like all amateur 'musicians' on Youtube and call it 'music'. For God's sake, it manages to be even more ♥♥♥♥ than Laura's theme.

Frankly I don't see how Juri can be so appealing. Was it because of her sexy vibes? I used to think of her as at least sexy, but the more I see her online, the more her annoying side sticks out.

that's ok though. not all characters are appealing to everbody. and regarding the story, I wouldn't take it too seriously. a whole lot of characters acted dumb or had weird small roles. I guess Juri is so popular because of her lascivious and dominant appearance which is rare for a female SF character. the only other one that comes to my mind right now is Poison, which I would argue is similarly popular.

I do feel kinda let down that there was no backstabbing Cammy in the end of the story. Prefer my villains to stay villainous. Most of the characters that don't respect the purity of unarmed combat are on the bad guys' side (Bipson, Vega, Fang etc), so it doesn't really make sense for her to do a heel face turn.

And that theme music is indeed complete utter ass.

think of juri as a neutral character, yes she wants to kill bison, but she also wants to fight/kill the ryu, chun,cammy, and etc

Actualy has Juri a like for Cammy,she just hates Chun for beeing Chun.
And yeah she hates Bison for killing mommy and daddy, who treated her like dirt......

Juri is basicly neutral chaotic,she does what she wants.
Think of her as the Sylvana Windrunners of SF.

I'm not buying the shemale Poison story. It's just a stunt Capcom USA pulled out because they feared the violence on women displayed in Final Fight back then would draw criticism. They kinda made it canon since then but it's too ridiculous to be taken seriously.

Don't judge the characters based on the general story mode, it's just a load of crap.

Just look at how it handles Chun-Li, it was badly written and put together as an excuse of extra content which the game was (and still is) lacking

The personal story modes are kind of better written, they'll give you a better (but brief) understanding of the characthers

I love her because of how over the top she is: not willing to listen to anyone, only wanting to enjoy herself. While I also love Chun-Li and Guile for their dedication to duty, or Ryu for searching a better path, I find her desire to mess with everyone kind of lovely.

She shares the same voice actor as Jolyne Kujo, shouts "oraora", is perverted and much different from the other female characters in the roaster, she's stylish, super sexy...I can't help but like her

The more I play her the more I love her! I put about 20 hours into her so far. She may not be for everybody but she is my main since SF4 and it will always be that way. Shes very fun and enjoyable for me to play.

that's a common wrong knowledge though. actually Poison (& Roxy) was replaced by a male enemy in the US-SNES-port of Final Fight because of Nintendos family politics back then, which couldn't allow that the player beats up women. the fact that Poison is a transsexual wasn't known in the west at that point until much later. in the original concept art for the arcade game Final Fight though, Poison was already declared a newhalf. in other words: a transsexual.
