You should be able to get rid of it by unchecking the dlc box for Street Fighter V in your library.
Haven't had time to play it yet. Is it really that bad?
Also, I only like to play as a couple fighters, I don't want to play as a bunch of random people that I'm not good at (nor do I care to spend time becoming good at). Even if I can stand the cutscenes and playing as people I never care to play as, it's still a one time playthrough. Not sure why I would want to go through all of that again...
At the end of the day, it's a fighter and that's all I care to do with it: Fight (ideally in Arcade Mode!!).
I probably just resent the 'Story Mode" mostly because of it either being a replacement for Arcade Mode or prioritized over it. Sorry, I want a good core SP experience and this game is completely lacking that. Let me just play as a few chars that I choose and kick some random AI oppenents butt as I work toward the boss. The fact that I can't do that months after release is hard for me to wrap my head around...
Story/Survival/Practice are not replacements for Arcade Mode since none offer the various features of Arcade Mode. They're different things. I really wish people would stop saying this.
Every fighter (that I'm aware of) has an "arcade mode" of sorts. This game does not. It's a massive shame since there are some nice things they added/changed for V. Really hope they put something out later this year to address this. Everything I've read/heard is they are still completely "open" to this - hopefully they become more than just open soon...
Couldn't find anything conclusive, but maybe..

Regardless there are always exceptions to the rule, but doesn't negate the fact that there SHOULD be an Arcade Mode which is a staple of this franchise and many others since the 90's, and for good reason.
