No Cloud Save Support?
I recently upgraded my OS and did a clean install on my PC. Reinstalling SFV, I found all my character story progress, survival times, and demonstration checklists wiped. However all the character skins and colors I unlocked, my CFN rank and LP, and my FM amount remain saved, unsurprisingly.

So are saves not stored via Steam Cloud or on Capcom's servers? It honestly isn't a huge deal to me if not, since all the real important stuff is tethered to my CFN and saved. But I'm always used to games having Steam Cloud support, and was surprised to find my local progress wasn't restored.

Fightmoney + unlocks are stored on Capcom servers
Survival / Story Mode progress is stored in a savegame file locally on your HDD / SSD

As I expected. Alright then. Just seems odd they wouldn't store story or survival progress, since it could serve as an indication of what you unlocked. But I guess Capcom doesn't need it to keep track of your unlocks.

Character stories are a just minor annoyance, but doing survival again will be a little more of a pain in the ass. Ah well.

you can check your progress with a workarround:

- story costumes become purchaseable in the shop for finished character stories
- alternative colors become selectable for finished survival difficulties in character select screen

Maybe this helps you.

It does, thanks. I was aware of the costumes in store, but wasn't sure about the colors. It'll be easy to remember the progress I made, just a bit time-consuming to get back there. But hey, it'll give me more reason to play through SFV again.

This is annoiying, I hope I can recover my original save, if not it will be a pain to remember what characters have what survival or challenge completed. It would have been better if the game had cloud saving of course.
