Ryu / Alex Halloween costume.

Just brought their costumes and i gotta say, its BADASS! No joke, especially with ryu's since ive always been a fan of samurai's and japanese oni's sort of theme. Also with alex, some sort of vampire king.

Only one criticism : Since both is all dark and demon possed etc. Juding from the costume, how cool would it of been if capcom implemented evil ryu's voice just to go with ryu's theme? Also a more demonic voice for alex's? I mean, its quite disturbing that you have these AWESOME skins for them, but their voice over is nothing like the theme or the costume that they are wearing, its really disturbing.

I wouldnt of even mind paying a bit more if it came to it

can you show ryus costume on trainingsstage in all color variations with and without the 3p,lk,up thing?

i agree on the voice part. it doesnt fit at all on ryu.
could have changed the color of his fireballs too.

I initially thought Juri was a Bulleta/BB Hood reference, but now that you say it... I don't understand how I missed that.

I mean, i dont even know if i am to be happy the fact that they re made costumes from previous legacy games or just shows a lack of innovation cause the team basically cant be arsed to make anything new so they just used something from before. To also just plant one theme from an old game to a newer one and thats it, nothing else changed (i.e voices, visuals in terms of special moves colours etc)

I mean, dont get me wrong. The skins are gorgeous! I was excited before when i saw the annoucement and still excited once ive brought it. But to be honest, i wouldnt of mind paying double the price for them IF for example for ryu's costume :

His fireballs became red or purple (akuma's fireball colour) and his voice was a bit more like evil ryu's to match his possessed / demonic theme.

Or if for Alex :

His voice is more demonic too and his elbow slashes or the elbow dash were red (to match his eye colour).

These are just examples obviously, its always the small things that counts right? Its not too difficult for capcom to do that right? Especially at their caliber.

But as i said, dont get me wrong.....i love the skins before i brought them, and still after. Just in the back of my mind....you can kind of sense something isnt right everytime you play them in those costumes however lol.

better re-use something good, than re-invent something not even half as appealing,
and yes Ryu and Alex costumes are visually the best fitting for a Halloween DLC.

It's fan service.... also the costumes aren't like exact 1 on 1 representations of Darkstalkers designs. Ryu takes a lot of elements from Bishamon.... but he doesn't have the face in his chest piece, etc. Alex is even less... just borrowing a few elements from Jedah.

If anything some of the Halloween costumes in USF4 were closer to DS characters- like QBee Cammy. Also when they tried to be "original" in their USF4 Halloween costumes... we got a straight up racist Balrog costume. So yeah.... I'll take fan service over that any day.

Necali's costume suites the best. The normal voice of necali suites the wolfman so much, n the fact that his special moves have slash effects and stuff. Its amazing. Im still comtemplating whether i should get it or not since i got the capcom pro tour costume like like last week lol.
