Is there anyway to beat wakeup DP?
It seems wakeup DP beats everything short of block/bate. Is there anyway to stay on the offense against ken/ryu's wake up DP? Or is block the only way?

What is the logic behind a MP DP beating a meaty?

They have startup invincibility. Just gotta pick and choose when to meaty against chars with invincible reversals.

invincible DPs are meant to be a "get the f. off me bro"-move, that's the idea. it makes the wakeup game more interesting since you have to consider that your opponent isn't afraid to let it rip.

Can't beat it, but you can bait it.

1: Anticipate block.
2: Bait with a normal.
3: Shimmy.
4: Option Select.
5: Jump-in Option Select.

That would make sense, but much of the cast lacks something like and need meter to beat a meaty.

not every characer is supposed to have an invicible reversal. that's a question of balancing.

Well yeah, but that only makes the wakeup game more interesting in a small amount of matchups. You could be right, but I just figured the MP DP wakeup invincibility was either an oversight, or an olive branch for new players.

Ryu, Ken, Cammy, Necalli, are the only characters in the game with a meterless invincible reversal, it means they can DP without any meter and they have about 6-8 frames of invincibility, the only way to beat a wake up invincible DP, is to DP at the wake up of your opponent, which is stupid and no one should do it.

Ryu and Ken's MP Shoryuken is the only invincible option, Necalli's HP DP is the only invincible one for him, and all of cammy's DP are invincible.
Didn't know Cammy and nec knew how to use shouruken. Hidden shots training.

Isn't flashkick invincible on wakeup? or is it just EX?

Only the EX I believe...but the normal versions are still quite dangerous.
