This sentence makes me sick on a whole new level.
Maybe because I hear this BS since the beta.
Fix'd
and lol at you saying she is a technical character, there are no technical characters in SFV, the game is braindead easy to play any character. I use Juri and always laugh when people say how hard she is, she's not hard at all.
I agree. It's like it's trying to be like KoF but somehow ended up not being like KoF. And the large cast in KoF 14 mainly comprises of rush down characters as well and it's way more fun there.
Street Fighter EX had the large majority of its cast with similar buttons as well. SFV in a way reminds me of that similar style of competitive play.
There's no truth in your words, just big amounts of lies.
I went trough this topic on SRK allready and it ended up with comments like yours getting laughed at.
It ended with the the point that this game isn't 100% rushdown and the people who keep saying this, are the ones who're either stuck in bronce or don't play the game regulary.
Here this was something they wrote:
SF4 Vega - plays an evasive, medium-long range neutral game to whittle down the opponent's health
SF5 Vega - rushes down and frame traps opponents
SF4 Ryu - well balanced between offense and defense, combines strong zoning and footsies with basic offense off of a knockdown
SF5 Ryu - rushes down and frame traps opponents
SF4 Dhalsim - heavily reactionary keep-away character, sacrifices damage and offensive capabilities for some of the best space control in the game
SF5 Dhalsim - rushes down and frame traps opponents
So and now to you.
I actualy can't belive that you want to tell me that every character in SFV plays the same. You obviously didn't play the game at all if you belive this.
I never saw a Vega who gets in and wants to frametrap,if they go in with claw off, they mostly do one normal and then either a commandgrab or cr.mp or back off, switch back to claw and go back to the poking game.
You wanna tell me that Vegas just rush in and this is BS.
You play the character how you decide it, just by having offensiv tools, doesn't make a character offensiv by default.
What about Birdie who can either zone you or play grappler?
What with Chun-Li who can either play defensiv footsies or rushdown with tons of IALL?
Or Ryu who can adjust his gameplan on the flight.
Ken who just goes into turtlemode and confuses everyone with this.
Dhalsim who either can get in on you with TK Teleports and Yogaflames or keep you away with his buttons.
I think you don't see the difference between varierty and forced gameplay, you can play the characters how you want(or how the MU wants it).
And if you want to play Guile like a turtle, you just do it. OMG they gave Guile tools to go on the offence "HE'S A OFFENSIV CHARACTER HE HAS TO RUSH DOWN AND GET IN!", thats what you're trying to sell here and thats the biggest nonsense I read since DSP started to talk about him beeing a former pro fighting game player.
Jesus, you sound like the comment section on Eventhubs.
And now get off my lawn punk!
Your butthurt SFÌV fanboy arguments are absolutly worthless, not to mentoi that you're bad in writing posts, this brick is unorganised, bad to read and was written with incredible anger.
This game finaly brought back what the community asked for since SSFIV.
No more focus, finaly traditional footsies back.
No more 1000 ways to defend you from anything, one of SFIV's nicknames is super turtle fighter IV no offence allowed edition.
No more stupid comeback mechanics like Ultras, that deal 50% for one move.
No more endless unblockable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Vortex gone,at least SFIV like 90/10 vortex, where the attacker could beat 90% of the opponents options with one setup.
No more OS meta. In SFIV you had to learn OS to beat OS to beat OS,that beat the backdash that was OS.
Oh yeah,no more invincible backdashes.
SFIV was hated by the FGC,several pros such as Daigo said they only played IV for the money. SFV is highly liked in the competetive scene and many many people from the Alpha/3S/CVS2 era coming back, because they skipped SFIV because of how the game humanilated the SF gameplay. I bet you don't know who BAS is.
Am I old yet?
You don't get CA for beeing beaten. CA is actually just a cinematic Super, they were in SFxT too.
Also a single hitconfirm into Super did in SFIV lots of damage too, just in SFIV nobody would ever do this, because EX was a much better option(unless your name was Rose).
