What is Nash supposed to be
every character ive played has had some kind of obvious gimmick/ playstyle focus but i just cant figure out what the hell nash is supposed to be, is he rushdown? does he control neutral? what the hell is this guy meant to be doing his moveset seems so unfocused.

According to Capcom, he's supposed to be an "offensive Guile" which it only takes a few minutes to know that statement is hilariously not true.

The actual best way of describing Nash is he's hit and run character. His walk speed is terrible but his dash covers a lot of distance for its speed and his VTs and V-reversals are all movement based. His pressure and defensive options are both limited so he's dependent on moving in and out. He does have a pretty decent fireball game to go along with this.
ive been thinking of moving away from my usual main of kolin since shes frustrating to play in bad connection matches and my friends hate fighting her. "hit and run" sounds pretty interesting for a character. can you elaborate on how im meant to move in and out? since i can't really understand how you apply that at all in a fighting game. and yeah the "offensive guile" thing is an absolute joke.
Like Guile, Nash has a lot of far reaching normals that are difficult to punish, albeit much worse on whiff than Guile's are. His sweep is one of the harder ones in the cast to punish (although this season the hurtbox got bigger). His fireballs have different start up and recovery speeds because he can use them to bait out actions. His VTs are both capable of sideswitch teleports in order to punish opponents or gain a safer option out of the corner. Backdash into max range medium Scythe is something you'll see Nashes do as a shimmy. To try and sum it up, Nash is using what pressure he has to irritate the opponent into a reaction, and then reels out to punish them

Solo Nash mains are hard to find but Iincho is one of the few along with Ixion. They're who you should look to for optimal Nash play

He's a twitter comeback clip character, his options are so limited and bad that if you post a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ clip winning against a silver Ryu, every low tier warrior will gather and hit the retweet button.
