Imagine teabagging someone using a new character in casual with your level 60+ main
Seriously don't get it. I'm trying to learn a new character legitimately without using a smurf account and obviously I expect to lose and I'm fine with that since I am seeing gradual improvements and I'm managing to win the odd game and even set in casual match against players of my rank. But it's when you're having quite a close match against someone that's using their main (usually a shoto) and they start teabagging when they've got you stunned. Like WTF, you've literally no-life'd your main (I'm level 50 with my main having done every single single player thing with that character, except extreme survival) and I've put in over 500 hours, so imagine these level 70+ mains) whilst I'm trying to learn a character that I've been using for a week and you have the cheek to teabag?

I just invite these people into Battle Lounge and destroy them with my main. But Seriously I never understand why people teabag. Unless your opponent is playing super scrubby and they annoyed you because they're relying on some cheap gimmicky playstyle. But when you're playing a solid footsies game (and characters) I don't get it.

Perhaps they're teabagging because they themselves feel so humiliated almost losing to someone using a level 20 character vs their main that they've put a bajillion hours into?

i used to teabag people myself BUT for a specific reason. the reason i did it was to annoy my opponent assuming it would make them angry/frustrated which usaly made them play more aggressive and make more mistakes. seemed like it worked sometimes

How is teabagging even a thing in SF? "dude, he teabagged you". Nope, he just crouched furiously on the other side of the screen, that's not teabagging. Play Halo for some actual tbag.

There are some people that teabag after dizzying the opponent

They crouch furiously, that's not teabagging. Squatting over someone's corpse so your character's balls touch the lying character's face is teabagging. Not really possible in SF

The meaning of a term depends on the meaning others attach to it.

When someone says "teabagging" in context of fighting games, I think most readers would associate that with "crouching furiously", even if at full-screen.

Not sure why teabagging bothers peeps so much.

Not only it is placebo, but e.g. in Halo where teabagging is actually possible, it doesn't make people angry, you don't go batsh*t when you see your corpse getting teabagged, instead you go "ah, you cheeky d*ckwaffle, I will teabag you next".

It's the fact that they're teabagging when they're blatantly a worse player. If you know you'd whoop their ass with your main and you're playing for fun with some random character then what place does teabagging have in that context? Who are they fooling?

Sorry, but that sounds like salt. The reason you lost was you were worse player. Could you win with your main? Probably, but you didn't play your main, not really your opponent's problem in that case.

But I invited to Battle Lounge and absolutely crushed them. That's my point. Why would you teabag someone you almost lost to when they weren't even trying?
