Any differences between 1ms and 4ms monitors for fighting games?
About to buy either the Asus PG278Q with 1ms of lag or the IPS Asus PG279Q with 4ms of lag, wanted to know if the difference is noticable for fighting games. Or if anybody here has played with one/ both of them and can steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

I use the Asus VG248QE with 1ms gtg response (basically the 1080p, 24 inch version of the PG278Q) and I'm very happy with it for fighting games. It's subtle, but I do notice the difference when compared to slower monitors (and a very large difference vs TVs).

With the IPS you're going to get better colors and viewing angles, but that wasn't as important to me as speed since I'm usually right in front of it during use and I'm not an artist or similar who cares about super accurate colors. If you do a lot of competitive games, I'd go speed. If you use it often as your primary media device, the choice gets more difficult.

I have an IPS 5ms response time monitor, and I dont know if this monitor is hampering my reaction time. I love my monitor and I dont want to get a new one just to play this damn game.

Or maybe I should? o.O
