GamePad settings
Yesterday I've played for th 1st time. played 15mn and 1h45 to make my gamepad works. Ok, i am skilled with configuration. Had to erase input.ini, check some forum try 2 gamepad... well At least, i've played 15mn !! Then i quit, go to eat, when i come back is a new update. Download and installed.... no more gamepad !!! Do you hate me ???
this time gamepad is undetected (works with windows and steam). I've checked the button generic gamepad, game create an file name input2.ini (no input.ini anymore). In game, no gamepad detected. Ok tried my other gamepad. unchecked generic gamepad, checked playsation3 gamepad, created input2.ini, in game no gamepad.....
Well what should i do, contact all my gamepad providers as indicated in the info box ? or just use the quit button and never come back maybe ???

thanks !

If you have a D-input controller, you will need to delete the input.ini file again to reset your SFV controller configuration.

Then go to your Steam settings => controllers and enable the appropriate checkboxes.

PS4 - if you have a PS4 gamepad.
Or
generic - if you have some other D-input devices.

After that launch SFV and go through the controller detection + settings, it's possible that you need to manually remap your buttons once. So you'll need to use the keyboard buttons B to accept/ forward , N to decline/ back, and arrows for navigation.

X-input (XBOX compatible) controllers don't need any configuration in Steam, mine are all disabled.

Also check this thread for more details:

Has anyone with a Qanba stick managed to make it work? SFV now doesn't recognize my Q1SW anymore. Even changing Steam controller settings and remapping doesn't help. And the weird part is that SFV accepts my DualShock 2 without doing any configuration, as well as the option to change controller settings has vanished from the Options menu.

The game does not have native D-Input support anymore. If Steam configuration does not work for you, use another program like x360ce for example.

DS4 with DS4 windows seems to work just fine. This update apparently solved my game starting issues.

Okay, I've finally figured out how to do it. This whole controller scheme sucks. The old way was much easier, and I don't notice any improvement in stability, as it has always been responsive.

Finally got it working by deleting controller section in steam config file (config.vdf).
stop street fighter
Unplugged my gamepad
delete input2.ini in street fighter config directory (%localappdata%\StreetFighterV\Saved\Config
Close steam
delete controller section in steam config file (config.vdf).
start steam
checked that my controller is recognized by steam
start street fighter

Gamepad was here again.

Thanks
