How good is Falke nowadays?
Im coming back to the game after a 1.5 y because back then AMD had huge issues with slowdown of the game, it seems to all fixed now(optimization since then worked)

My main character is Ruy but I wanted to try Falke so I bough her to mark my return for myself.
I love how she looks (I play Ivy in SC, Lili in T7) but im concerned she is ultra low Tier(or so I heard ON LAUNCH)

Has she been improved since ? Are there good pro Falke players to follow/watch their matches?
Thanks for help

Does anyone else dislike hers and Ed's weird af hairstyle lol

You can play easy with Falke, but there will be matchups where you won't know much to do against your opponent. Even with a new Skill, I understand that she is quite limited when opponents manage to assimilate her game strategy ...

Ty very helpful! I looked around and found a few combo videos on youtube and also some good Falke's to watch. Although many people say she is too slow and not that flashy, I'm gonna play around with her a bit get used to rhythm and see if I'm compatible to use her long term
I think she still sucks and has less than a handful of things going for her, and those things are what barely keeps her afloat. imo

First thing you'll notice is that she's not very fun outside of VT1, it's what allows you to have some fun with her. It would be pretty cool if she had those VT1 fire balls as normal special moves, but nope, they're hidden behind a pay wall in the form of V-Trigger.

The only really cool thing about her is her chill theme music, and most people pick her over Ed just cause she's a female, and you know.... Females are usually sexy, cute, fun to play as. If she was a guy most people probably wouldn't care about her.

She is doable and fine (even easy) until you start getting at the M/GM+ rank, at this point it is getting harder.

Gameplay is semi passive with attack bursts/passive/lame.
Do not expect heavy attack or rush down.

I see your profile is falked out, makes sense you'd think that.

Pretty much this. Just wanted to add that because she is not as offense heavy as most other characters so get your lameness ready from the beginning. It took me a whole lot of losses to get her gameplay right, but then it reall was fun
Great responses guys they go a long way!(you gotta understand I've been out of loop with SFV since like Season 2 T7, so allof these pointer from active/exp players are really helpful)

Wouldnt you say its a good thing that she is a bit lame? I feel like it would force learning good fundamentals and timing.

Pro players make her look really good but I can see already their struggles.
For example after observing a few high rank matches I notice if Falke is pushed to the corner there isnt mich she can do but wait things out.
A very heavy spacing dependent character.

But she is definately super fun to play as casually, she gives me kof 98 Mature style vibes. I kinda dig the Aura about her but I feel like you gotta be in point bc she very punishable

She is a sort of zoner. Controlling space is what you want to do.

G learning good fundamentals

If yo uare in lower rank, your opponents wont use fundamentals unless you force them to do (even that they wont).

Only around higher diamond up to warlod players use fundamentals when i face them (not all of them).

If you want an advice, learn to try to check dash, anti air most jumps and whiff punish (the obvious whiffs). Because if the opponent can just spam jumps or dash what the point of trying to control space?

Once you get that on hand you can start to play with combo, CH confirms, setups & co.

You can add me if you have Falke questions about anything but VT2.

Why does the window mess with my answer and turns everything into a quote from Vyllis? lol
Thanks guys I added you, I use V1 anyway and I want to master it before moving on but V2 seems better for pressure

Put it this way. I've been waiting so long, since launch, for Honda as he was my main in SF4. But since I discovered Falke I don't care anymore. I've used her over 800 times in online matches and by far my favourite. Great for learning and practising fundamentals. She has excellent normals, anti-hair and the simple moveset makes for easily memorable BnB combos.
