I think they were making Dan but in the end they used what they had made to make Kage LOL

It does acuay make sense.
Dan rejcted the teachings of Gouken and decided to just do his own undisciplined version of the arts.
Kage is basicly the same deal a what if scenario if ruy gave up self control and discipline.
So bouth characters basicly use a undisciplined wlid version of the Martial art dan just sucks at it.

To be fair thou dan may be the "weakest" sf character but tehnicly speaking he is an above avarage fighter.
If the characters in SF all represent the worlds strongest figthers he just happens to be the weakest of the strongest.

i played a ton of dan in sf4 and as soon as i tried kage i knew it felt familiar. hes basically shin omega dan.

Maybe this overrides the possibility of seeing Dan finally in the game (and Makoto if we consider the headband on the neck). We will have to settle for Evil Dan mod.

Good mod, by the way, it replaces the voice and the music too, great.

I think they planned a season in which Dan would be the first character and finally they used Dan to do Evil Ryu, I mean Kage. and they decided that would there just few characters and not 6, so they decided to sell them separately, as it happened in other games, like Killer Instinct. Maybe this means that this game is about to die.

My brother pointed out something distrubing about this topic.

You guys should examine the win quotes other characters have when they defeat Kage.
Namely Alex and Sagat, both of them sound like they're talking to a "try hard" version of Dan when they beat Kage.

I don't know about the other characters yet, but you guys should check out the quotes.

Ive gone into the game shop a couple of times and the announcer girl says " Dan Hibiki will be released next! "

Actually the Shop voice says he's up next, and she refers to the descriptions for store stuff being by Dan.

Also, you can go to sound options and mute that awful Shop voice. Blessed be Capcom for having the foresight to have that option.
