Fierce = Heavy punch/kick.
>I know what a DP is. But I'm not sure why they call it DP. Or what it stands for. DP from my point of view, is basically people's invincible wake up's or anti airs.
DP = dragon punch, which is a loose translation of Ryu/Ken's shoryuken (literal: rising dragon fist). Eventually people ended up calling similar attacks DP for convenience.
I don't play Juri so I can't comment on her play style.
But out of question of spacing. Just as in any character besides maybe Dhalsim, due to his extreme range. What is your thought process when you are spacing?
Like what are you trying to accomplish? Or what are you looking for? Because I know for example, Dhalsim, when people are going against him at his max range they're looking for a whiff punish.
is spacing like whiff punishing almost?
Juri's AA are st.HP, cr.HP or medium/heavy dp. Make sure you do the dp late to take full advantage of invincibility frames.
Are you talking about the little combo things?
I see. out of question as I know you also main Juri. What is your favorite DP? For cross ups and jump ins.
Maybe it's my lack of experience. But a lot of the time if I move too much I can't pull out my dp fast enough in time. cr.hp always seems to trade and the only real success I have is st.hp/st.mk when they try to jump in at range. But some of the bigger characters seem to hit me right through it anyways.
But yeah, anti airs are a matter of practice and getting used to reacting to jumpins. You just have to play alot and eventually you should get used to playing more calm and it's more natural to react to stuff.
Yeah, I've started to learn the timing of cr.hp. It really works a lot more than my previous attempts. tho I must still admit. I feel like when people spam jumps it's harder to maintain it. Like for example, someone who jumps before I can even get up and then jumps after every string they do.
DP wake ups are also hard for me and I usually don't like doing them because they're unsafe. But I suppose I should when someone is playing careless huh? And as for her DP. yeah I know..... so many times I wake up and they cross up and I completely whiff and suffer for it.
