Which characters does the base game include?

If I buy the arcade deluxe edition, will I also unlock all the previous DLC characters? Also, this game came out two years ago yet it is sold like on a new release price if you want to buy the complete game. Why so expensive?

Base AE gives you all Character other than the season 3 ones.
Which are Sakura Blanka Falke Cody G and Sagat
G and Sagat are not yet relesed thou and G is coming out this month probably.

Deluxe gives you the base game and all of its characters incl season 1 and 2 and the above mentioned characters.

Deluxe is basicly the base game + season 3 pass.
And the season pass does give you 6 costumes for the 6 above mentioned characters.
But not extra costumes for the rest of the characters from the base/AE game.

Also if you play the game enough and level all characters you will be able to unlock season 4 if we get one for free.
Or you can gat base AE and unlock the above mentione characters for free but it will make unlocking season 4 harder.

new characters come out every two months, so the "complete" edition is always expanding. it's why they use season passes. after each season the previous year's season passes get cheaper. base roster is the first 16 characters here: https://streetfighter.com/characters/

deluxe is the current complete edition and has every character including the upcoming sagat and G when they are available. next year there will be a season pass 4 and you'll need to purchase that to get next year's characters or buy them on their own when they are out.

the base version comes with Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, M. Bison, Vega, Birdie, Karin, R. Mika, Laura, F.A.N.G., Rashid, Necalli, Zangief, Nash, Dhalsim, and Cammy

note, you can also get the S1 characters for $5 seperately right now, so for $15 you could also get Alex, Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri, and Urien

the AE version selling for $24 right now includes S1 and S2, so in addition to the characters above you will get Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat, and Zeku


ALL version of SF5 come with the current balance and features. the only difference is what characters are included. so you don't have to worry about buying an "outdated" version. or worry that your missing AE features like Arcade mode
