While we're at it, stop picking Ryu for crying out loud. I've encountered more Ryu players than all other characters combined.

The Grid should be banned from ranked and casual matches. It's suppose to be used as a training aid, so using it for an actual match is cheating.

I don't think it's cheating at all or anything like that... It's just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ugly :/ ANY OTHER MAP IS FINE

Some people have poop computers and can't candle most of the stages. Others think the stages can just cause lag. In reality, that's only true for couple of stages and all of those laggy ones are DLC.

Training stage is infact banned in tournaments because it's so fugly to look at and not good for spectator sport.

Ironically the laggiest matches i had were on that stage.
I think capcom fixed this isue so i dotn see as may traning stages anymore.
Althou 1 out of 20 people will proably pick it.

But i do hope capcom actually banns its use online in SFVI
Or designes an actualy good traning stage like make it an acual traning ring in a gym that just happens to have lines drawn on the flor for those people who use them.

The Grid is just...less distracting. Where’s the wrong in choosing it?

Personally I welcome the resurrection of our Ryu army overlords.
That character has some much deserved buffs and is now much more fun to play as and against.

He also sorts out the wheat from the chaff.

The grid lines. They are obvoius spacing aids.

I’m pretty sure you can make an argument about banning every single stage that currently exists in the game. Stages that have any moving objects on them should be banned due to distractions. Stages that have have too many moving particles/objects and that could cause lag should be banned. Stages that have anything in them that might aid somebody in some way should be banned. Stages that have colors that are too bright, or have to high of a contrast and could strain peoples eyes should be banned. Am I missing anything else in stages that could be bannable? Does my argument sound stupid in some way? Am I grasping at straws here?

If capcom truly only meant for the training stage to stay in training mode, they would’ve locked it down to that mode rather than allow people to choose it in some way. More people would’ve complained about not being able to choose it. Who is honestly paying such close attention to the grid lines in a casual or ranked match anyways? Especially when you’re focusing on trying to beat your opponent.

People just have this idea that Grid is the only stage you should ever pick because "it reduces lag". Just look up SFV streams going on on Twitch, well over half of them at any point of the day are in this stage. People are just diehards for this stupid stage.

Since we're talking PC master race here, your best option really is to mod the Grid into a different stage. Let the scum enjoy their visual aid lines.

I like this idea :D
Imma do it.

Many stages have higher CPU/GPU usage than the training stage, and of those that don't, a good chunk of them have these pointless background events/effects that intermittently spike usage (ala the stupid helicopter on the Shadaloo base or the waterfall next to the cave).

While my PC handles them without dropping frames, too many people using slim/burnt out PS4s or laptop/ancient PCs WILL drop frames on those other stages. And since they're also typically the ones who won't see the lag because of how the game determines who gets rollback there's no way in hell I'm switching to a stage besides the training one.

So I suggest you guys get used to it, or complain at Capcom for the garbage game optimization they did, for all the good that will do you.

I ain't gotta get used to it. Just filter out actual problem stages like Temple of Lag and Metro City, then one and done anyone who insists to pick Grid.

Honest question: do you even bother to care when playing a serious match?
